    A good teacher shows how smart he is, but the best makes his students feel that they are smart. Thank you, Professor Razavi. You are the best of the best.

      I a doubt here at 11:33 , if here input terminal is source and output terminal is drain, that means that drain is at higher potential than source and the amount by which its higher is voltage across the resister, now if the source terminal is increasing its value, that means drop between drain and source is decreasing, so inorder to stop the drain terminal to increase its value, we should ACTUALLY DECREASE the resistance between them,instead of increasing it. Pleaseee clear my doubt!!!!

      @@RaviNagar16the location of the drain terminal and source terminal do not depend on the symbol, but on the voltage difference or the driving current passing through the mosfet (which in this case an NMOS). Apparently current flows from left to right then across resistors to complete the feedback mechanism. Therefore, in this case, no matter how Professor Behzad razavi draws the NMOS, the drain terminal is on the left and source is on the right.

      @@ylmak3998 drain and source can interchange mos is symmetric bilateral device.

    The best teacher ever .
    For a difficult subject like Analog you made things so easy and clear.
    Thanks a lot Sir.

    something toomuch interesting:
    @47:20
    after all the analysis he did and made us understand....the way he simply said that the inverter doesn't work.... in lab ..........
    it was nerve cutting also very thought provoking...and curiosity building.

    Why is thevenin voltage is found at input and thevenine resistance at output? As far as i know both should be found at same place.

    11:45 how can we ensure the MOSFET operates at triode region?

      Since the op amp in the circuit has a voltage (Vref) -> Vout - open loop gain = Ao(Vref) -> gate voltage increases making the mosfet work in saturation region..

      When the drain voltage increases beyond Vref, gate voltage decreases. Since the resistance is inversely proportional to Vgs-Vt so it will increase. And since Vds is inversely proportional to R so Vds will decrease with increase in resistance. This will keep MOSFET in triode region ig.
      When resistance of the MOSFET in linear region increases current reduces hence keeping the value of drain close to that of source.

    Is their any reason that the inverting and non-inverting amplifier should look like the same as with that two resistances
    Why can't we just remove both resistances and just apply the input on either of the two terminals and call it as inverting and non-inverting amplifiers
