Tyco® DPV-1 Dry Pipe Valve Actuation

This video visually illustrates the step-by-step actuation of the Tyco Model DPV-1 dry pipe valve. The DPV-1 dry pipe valve is designed to protect areas exposed to freezing temperatures.
Where a traditional accelerator is not sufficient, a QRS-2 Quick Release Switch may be used to reduce water delivery time with more reliable actuation and less risk of false alarm. Tyco also offers the Vizor Electronic Dry Pipe Accelerator for the DPV-1 as an option in the US and Canada.
