thank you master..please make more video ............. watching From Philippines
As a test turn the microscope ring-light off and shine a torch from the side, and see if the colour gets better. When Electronics Repair School switched to side lights everything suddenly popped, ie, colour and clarity.
When will you do a Motherboard repiar again? I actually quiet enjoyed your not repair videos!

Thank you very much for this educational content :)
Please, please add the ammeter you're using to your tool list. I can't find anything like it anywhere, thanks.
It is selfmade, so you cannot buy it anywhere!
@@MainboardMedic I see, thanks!
I have intel Z97 board (asrock Z97 pro3) that doesn't respond to power button. It has no shorts. I get PSOUT signal from SIO (NCT6776D) but PCH is not giving S5 , S4 or S3 , or S_A after that. I am not sure why. It has 3VSB so it should respond. Maybe it would need reball or ... worst case PCH replacement. The PCH , when 3VSB is applied (PSU switched on, but not yet power button pressed), puts the S5 S4 S3 to low impedance state though, so maybe it's working? but I think these should be High when motherboard is booted. so the resistance for these S signals is 0.6 kOhm for each when power is off, and 50 ohm when 3VSB is On
Check the oscilation on the crystal off the PCH! That is a good indicator if its alve or not!
@MainboardMedic actually I measured the pads on the surface of PCH chip and there is 3.3V and there is a bit of response to powerbutton, so the connection from SIO to PCH is at least good.
Yes, I checked and there was frequency on the XTAL. But what finally got it working, was using the CMOS RESET jumper. This cleared something on the PCH. Some registry I guess. now it posts again?! Edit: Actually the fault resumed and no response from power button again. Maybe probing around the XTAL caused it to work briefly, and solution would be replacing XTAL with new 25 MHz. These do degrade right?
@@mikegaming4924 Theoreticly they do degrade but i have not encountered that yet!
You had a stuck SIO Chip! Ive had that before as well! Nothing helped but reseting the Bios! I had spent hours before doing that!
@@MainboardMedic Actually the problem returned when I plugged in all the cables and it again doesn't do anything to the power button press. I tried to cycle the CMOS CLEAR jumper multiple times to no avail.
need boardview a320m-a pro max no power
sent me an Email!
hello mate, i have a b550 gaming x with pci rst being pulled low, i flashed a new bios since eBay owner said bios was bricked, vrms and chipset get toasty and cpu gets warm any ideas on whats causing this.
Thats the sad thing about mobo repairs they´re 99% of the time a uneconomical to repair. But i wish you luck on your repair endevours.
Lower the volts abit see with little decreases if it posts check temps and if it crashes when stressed
Have you checked all the DDR voltages? Very often reset is stuck, because PG signals are missing. Most PG signals reach some kind of N chanel mosfet or the SIO!
@@MainboardMedic that means it's faulty or manual switch it?
can you give us a lesson on the boot sequence and voltage of a motherboard?
a320🙃
where do you get the boardview?
