- In build up to Scotland's crucial match with Norway at Hampden Park on Saturday 11th October 2008, this compilation previewed Scotland's World Cup qualifying campaign for South Africa in 2010.
The Scots came agonisingly close to qualifying for the last tournament, Euro 2008, losing out after a do-or-die clash with Italy at Hampden Park. Take a look back at how Scotland went out in a blaze of glory as the Tartan Army looked forward to a new beginning under George Burley.

And depending how long your going back, it might have been the British Navy, not the English Navy. England hasn't been it's own country since 1707 I believe. Britain, is Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The British military, economy and everything that is British is down to these 4 countries. You'll find the blue and white in the british flag represents scotland, and the red/white is for england.

dude! i didnt meet a scot who didnt cheer for the opposing side (playing england)....i have never felt such hate in certain places of the city. one mate was seriously beaten for wearing an england top to a pub to watch a game. the pub abuse we took when a team scored a single point was so sad. argentina tops outsold scotland tops during the 2002 world cuP!

Scotland seems to have its good times and its bad times. Like our wins against France. And our match against Italy (1-2) which would have been a draw had the referee not given them a freekick at the end, which they didn't even deserve. We didn't have James McFadden playing when we played against you. He's one amazing player
