Today I am sharing Garmar Athanu Recipe, Garmar Pickle Recipe. Garmar is known for its exceptional medicinal qualities and the pickle made from Garmar is lip-smacking with every meal and a healthy addition to your food. In this video, I shared today two types of Garmar pickle recipes.
Garmar Pickle is made from Garmar Roots. It is known as Coleus Forskohlii in english and it is considered to have beneficial properties for many ailments.
Traditionally this athanu is made since years and is popular in Gujarat, particularly jamkhambhaliya garmar athanu is known for its good quality.

INGREDIENTS
FOR NORMAL GARMAR PICKLE
500 grams garmar (Coleus Root)
¾ litre water
1 tbsp salt
½ tbsp turmeric powder
A lemon juice
Water extract of raw mangoes
Soaked in salt & turmeric powder
2 tsp salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
FOR RAITA GARMAR PICKLE
½ cup rai na kuria
⅛ cup methi na kuria
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp hing
¼ cup oil
Half a lemon (Vinegar can be added instead)
2 tsp salt
