I had an English bantam rooster for a house pet he was amazing. paper trained loveable, he slept in my bed and if carry him every where I went. i rescued him from fighting. I purchased him after his owner could no longer keep him. he had already fought 3 fights but when I got him he became my baby never fighting again. he was a great companion
Wow I never dreamt I would ever get to see some of God's beautiful creation in my life??? Thanks to you whoever had taken all the best way to show us these facts. These animals are really God's beautiful creations. Thanks once again...
It's a pure white bird that has been dyed with food coloring, typically people use Kool-Aid as a dye (just like you can use Kool-Aid to dye your hair or yarn). I've seen parakeets at bird shows dyed this way. It lasts till the bird molts again. Silly, but fairly harmless--though no decent bird owner would do this. Disreputable people dye baby chicks at Easter, too.
True we breed silkies and they are in fact down feathered all over. Thier feathers aren't water resident nor can they fly etc. So keeping them requires close eye on temp, water, cover, warmth etc. Super cute though!
“Gold-laced Wyandotte” *shows a picture of a photoshopped blue-laced red Wyandotte and then an image of a gold sebright*. C’mon, the second picture at 2:14 isn’t even a Wyandotte. Also, the lacing is not unique. It exists in many breeds.
Sleepy Cobra yup - i have seen loads if mistakes in animal videos lately. buffalo mixed with musk oxen. armadillos mixed with pangolins. it’s like no one really, really cares to check the facts. and the mangled pronunciation if words is horrendous - and i’m not talking about the difference between British and American English or regions there of either. excuse the rant. this video is mostly fine. :) 🌷
Silkies are really good as breeding hens they can incubate other eggs which is not theirs and treat it like their own young they also incubate and take care of other breeds of hens so totally worth it
I raise chickens so I find them interesting and beautiful. Good video Matt. I use scrunchies in my silkys head feathers too just messing around. ....lol
I have silkie bantams I hand feed them and sometimes even hug them they come to my front door all the time they are really cute I totally recommend them
One time we had a 3 raccoons in our coop and were inside the smaller shed where the chickens were. Well I saw that our silkie hen wasn’t too happy about them and pecked at one. She looked so peeded off, and I though it was the funniest thing that she just pecked at this raccoon.
@@dunestaniszewski2300 or they just aren't worth more than a regular meat chicken especially when no one will buy them because they look weird and they never heard of them and then they are freaked out by the black meat that looks disgusting. I heard they were rare when we had them but i figured they couldn't be to rare. We just left them free ranging until predators got them all.
@@johncuervo3019 usually people sell Svart honas as Cemanis to rip people off But even a actual camani is only 70-90$ a chick nowadays. All his info is old and notably innacurate
Wow. I didn’t know there was so many breeds I also never heard of chickens costing so much. If I paid $2-3000 for one then it better lay golden eggs lol
Ayam Cemanis aren't worth nearly that price anymore. Now they're the value of a normal heritage breed at $40-80/bird; up to $200-600/bird for top show lines.
Hmm that's odd, I have a Silver and a Golden Laced Wyandotte, both are hens, and currently we have our Serama hen, Iris ( Seramas are even smaller than bantams ) and our Serama Rooster indoors because it is too cold for them currently to be outside. But, Iris became broody a little while back so my moms friend give us 5 fertile eggs for her to hatch. We got 2 White Leghorn eggs 1 potential Red Laced Blue Wyandotte and 2 Araucanas They are EGGspected to hatch today and i'm very EGGsited. I've never seen an egg hatch before!!
@@Ladyalphawolf Me too. Surprisingly they all hatched, we hadn't eggspected them all to. Turns out there are no leghorns and I think that we did receive a red laced blue wyandotte, but they are still small and we are eggsactly sure what they are yet. We have a grey and yellow chick named Blu, three black ones with white on their bellies and tips of their wings, and a chick with various browns, and I named her Ester, she is so precious, they all are.
I am very proud that in this ranking, there is chicken breed in Vietnam 1:14 and that chicken breed in Vietnam is called: Gà đông tảo People can look up youtube there are many videos about this chicken in Vietnam Thank:
I have Brahmas. They get pretty big. 15 pounds.... I’m scared. They’re only chicks currently, but, they’re really big already. If you don’t know what they are search it up on YT they’re HUGE
Sumatra roosters actually only fight other Sumatra roosters, and not other roosters of a different species. Sumatras are also supposedly a long tailed breed of chicken, but I assume that their tails do not grow very quickly, as I have a pair, and the sumatra's tail is almost longer than my other two different species roosters tails.
Absolutely not. Sumatra roosters will fight any other rooster, just like any other rooster. Yours are just a little unusual if they're sticking to fighting each other. My Blue Sumatra fought my White Silkie all the time, and I'm 100% positive he'd fight any other boys that came along. They are an asiatic long tailed breed, but they do not carry the non-moulting gene that allow a Phoenix chicken's tail to reach spectacular lengths. All domestic chicken breeds belong to the same species, gallus gallus; the sumatra included.
Chickens originated from South East Asia, It is believed Alexander the Great brought them to Europe. Chickens in the US were main brought by yankee clippers. How did the Aracauna Chickens get to South America (Chile in Particular) long before Columbus?
I have only got multicolored roosters explain to me why I can't get a red rooster that's only red and how the heck are you supposed to get a nice roaster while I had a nice rooster until I sell it

Yeah, thats why he created retards.
Apart from one or two they are all created by man crossing wild fowl.

Silkies make great brooders to hatch various types of eggs. They also have what is known as prefeathers instead of feathers if I remember right.

"Male roosters" "Female hens" is like saying "ATM Machine", "PIN Number", etc.
Also, Araucanas are super common?

Amazing
incredible chicken
Interesting how that last rooster is aggressive but won't fight to the death like us humanoids.
Yes they will... Most birds are born fighters... Specific breeds fights differently. Some goes go the head shot, others body shots etc.
Its like mma
@@km-kz5xf I guess like fighting for dominance. I only find that mostly reptiles have no restraint over their own kind. Good to know thanks.
