The pedal strikes are because of the geometry of that frame is more of a crusher than a mountain bike. The bottom bracket swoops down a bit from the rear axle, gives the sensation of sitting inside the bike opposed to sitting on top of the bike. Makes for a very comfortable and stable ride, but the trade off is they're extremely prone to pedal strikes even on black top.
Just bought mine. Love it. Live in a city. Done off road, trails even highways already.
Good luck. Customer service for this company involves one guy who probably is also the email guy with a different name. Anybody who buys Hiboy hasn’t seen all the deleted reviews they take off their website. Side note. Any manufacturer who puts a throttle like the p6’s a twist knob is asking for a crash. When you brake you naturally twist your hand. Aka hit the accelerator while braking. Then you realize there are no Hiboy engineers. They’re all rebranded Chinese bikes that are probably worth $100 max…. I found out all this info while trying to return my two bikes. Paid over 2,500 bucks for them and they broke within 2hours. Motor stopped working. It has taken me over a week just to get them to send me the return address. Offering me a free scooter bag instead of a full refund… good luck !!!!! I am never recommending Hiboy to anyone.

Nice review, I do like watching the different e-bikes you two demonstrate. I am amazed at the number of different e-bikes on the market. Watching your reviews will assist me if and when I decide to pull the trigger and get one for myself. How about demonstrating a three wheel?!? ~AB~
Since 2019 ebike sales are up almost 300%,its crazy how many options there are now! We would love to get our hands on a trike! Maybe we can make it happen.

@@ugabuga1361 What are you even talking about? I literally have a Hiboy electric scooter--have had it a few years. It has a decent feature set at a great price. He's not reviewing the "company," he's reviewing their product. As a Hiboy owner, I know that my Hiboy scooter is no joke.

Ya es una bicicleta vieja, pero aun me sigue gustando tanto su diseño como su desempeño... no se si esperar un poco antes de darle el si o ver si sale algo a un precio razonable y co el potencial de esta bicicleta... creo quizá la compre a pesar de tener en el mercado algo más de 2 años y estar al mismo precio
Although I don't know if this bike is sold in Australia, something that makes it at least appear legal is the seat. I just recently read in New South Wales one requirement is an adjustable seat. It still wouldn't be legal because of the motor at least on the streets. My bike is both overweight and motors. I did choose it over a model that would have been a bit closer to my overall list because of the adjustable seat.. you can't easily swap a seat out on a moped style seat if not comfortable or gets torn.

How tall are you and how tall is she, she looks like a kid on it. Is it that big or is she that small?
I bought the aventon because it was on sale. The pedals get too low to the ground for me.
