Thanks for the series. We’ve done several mods ourselves and are always looking for ideas. We just added a heavier mattress as well. You noted you travel with the bed down. Is that still working for you? Any wear and tear to the floor or other parts. We are a bit worried for the straps holding up to travel but I think they recommend travel with bed up. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy them. Amazon. I'll try to link them for you acegoo RV Boat LED Reading Light,... www.amazon.com/dp/B0838RWH7Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Great job on these videos! We just picked up a 2018 19FD E-Pro (before the ladder and solar were standard). Question for you: 1. Does your unit have solar? 2. A couple of your modifications involve "tapping into" a 12v line. Do you have more details on how to do that? I feel confident doing anything woodworking, and drilling into the unit, but electric is a beast I just don't want to mess with without further detail. 3. What brand of reading lights did you end up getting? They are sharp! Thanks!
Thank you! The reading lights brand is called acegoo RV LED light we bought off amazon. Yes our trailer has solar with a 190 watt panel on the roof and a go power solar charger. Tapping into the 12 volt is fairly easy. Our FD has a USB port in the cabinet beside the bed (drivers side) It's wiring is accessed in the outside storage compartment by removing the plastic panels in the cabinet. I cut the wires to the USB and used a voltmeter to find which was positive and which was negative. A couple of butt connectors let me add extra wire in line so I could add the lights. To add The passenger side wiring we ran wire between the cabinets at the front floor of the trailer where the manufacturer already has a wire run.
The shoe rack is just bolts and fender washers through the dinette bench wall. Shelf brackets used 1/2" long number 8 screws (IIRC, they are just short fat screws)
@@flightofthecrowswing so you went all the way through the dinette wall with a bolt and put a washer and nut on the side where the upright cushion is correct? If so no wires or any other things to hit while drilling?
Yes all the way through. No wires there. Wiring for the step light is behind the drawer and goes toward the wall of the camper. We moved the step light over to make room for the lower shoe rack
Do you know what you railer weight is now after all the modifications? I only ask because I have small 4 runner I use to pull the FD and need to keep weight as low as possible
That shoe rack idea of gap at the bottom is very smart. And velcro around/over lights!
The gap makes cleaning so much easier!
Omg - love that bolster pillow and the treasure shadow box.
Thank you. Those are two of Elizabeth's favorite things she has built too!
OMG, I can so relate to the bright lights from the micro and the panel ha ha ha ha ha ha
And you know quick when you forgot to cover them before bed!

Thanks! We like them too!
Love this video series! Getting so many good ideas for my Geo Pro 19FD. Thank you...a new sub.

Awesome mods! How did you mount the shoe rack? As in what type of screws? Also what type of screws for the shelf brackets in the wardrobe?

We do not. It is on our to do list to get it weighed as loaded for travel. Our Tacoma is having no issues towing it though
