I test rode Tiger 800 XCX and had the same heating problem... It was a dealbreaker for me and I choose Kawasaki Versys 650 and saved lot of money at the end of the day.

Well that shaft drive is really appreciated. It can ride anywhere without having a chain clean and lube tension. It saved the time and maintenance of every 500km. But that shaft drive is heavy and really expensive thing. Power loss is also more in it. This bike vibrates a lot we can hear it and heat management is also poor.

Shaft driving reduces the efficiency, that's why they are used in high power bikes only. Best is belt drive & most convenient is chain drive..

This and similar segment bikes are indeed great. But won't it be risky and painful over long distances if in a remote place the bike gives up due to the smallest of niggles. How confident would be the road side mechanic in sorting it out.
