I beg to differ with you Mabry. Joe Lopez didn't open the doors for many of the artists you mentioned. Emilio, Jay and Ram got their start with David Lee. Gary, Selena and La Mafia got their own start on their own. While I agree he has won many awards and deservedly so, may his star continue to shine brightly for la onda tejana and all his many fans from near and far.

Could be Frankie Caballero ?? 😂 Frankie the best accordion player Mazz or anyone can get. He played with Mazz, he played (la polka del Tigre) We don’t know the history but when Joe first got out, Frankie was Joe’s accordion player. UA-cam him. He’s another level of musical talent.
I agree at one time he was a great singer, but his voice lacks the range it had before. He reminds me of a friend I have who, when he stopped taking drugs, turned into a rather large guy!! Hope is better than he sounds....
Joe .... My advice to you. Constructive criticism. Try to lose some weight. Very dangerous at our age. I've had 3 open heart surgeries. I want you to be able to have enough energy and strength to continue singing and to stick around a long time. 🫀
