When Brady won ring #2, nobody was comparing him to Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw. Here's THE reason Patrick will never eclipse Tom: last night's tackle before first half almost snapped his ankle. Think RG3, running QB's take physical abuse, one wrong hit, and your done, if he keeps running he will find out the hard way.

This was mahomes 5th year starting. But they are comparing it to bradys numbers at 27 after brady's 3rd season starting. The numbers get much better if you compare their first 5 years starting.
That being said, Mahomes is the only one in the league right now who can sniff Brady's legacy. His talent is undeniable and with the coach he has now, the tight end, and his contract that will look more and more team friendly as the years go by, he has a chance.

      Brady: 43 TD, 12 INT, 5316 Yds, 67.5%
Mahomes is amazing and definitely on pace to become the 2nd best of all time and possibly compete for the GOAT status. But we have to wait for him to win 5 more SBs and also see how he plays at age 44 as well.

Right around the time Brady won his 5th ring? Even after Brady won his 5th, people still argued Brady wasn't better than Montana. If it took so long for people to consider Brady better than Montana, why is Mahomes being compared to Brady? People argue that Mahomes having such an amazing first 5 seasons is what draws the comparison, due to Mahomes doing so well, so early, so quickly. If (I pray no ill will) Mahomes doesn't get a chip next season, or the season after that, and has a career ending injury... Do we still try to compare Mahomes, who would have 2 rings out of 3 bowls, to Brady? Do we say Mahomes is better than Montana? Do we say Mahomes is better than Manning? I'm not knocking Mahomes, he is a great player, but his career isn't over yet, he hasn't accomplished more than the other greats.
