I work for a Bentley dealer here in the US, and we opened in 2018 - just in time to get several Supersports in our first round of inventory. These really are special cars. Rare, good looking, powerful, and the titanium exhaust sounds wonderful. I still smile every time we get one in for service.
I genuinely think anything 5 digits is affordable. You could even argue cars up to 150000k, are affordable for most people that doesn't require exceptional luck or talent, just hard work.
Living in Spain, have to travel to Andorra 4 to 6 times per year on business. I've seen this car there on more than one occasion. It's astounding in the flesh! Didn't realise it belongs to Jay Vine... UAE cycling team clearly have a fully licensed petrol head on there team 😂 BTW 19.8 ltt per 100km is 14 mpg 😱😱😱
Great video! I’m such a big fan of the Supersports - on the north shore of Chicago you’ll see both generations running around every once in a while, and it’s amazing how they are so subtly changed visually from the regular, continental GT, yet they have so much more presence! The spec on the one you drove is especially beautiful, the owner is one lucky guy!
The Damson interior is gorgeous. I had it in a Flying Spur and I miss it. It was unique and interesting, yet understated and warming. The Gen 2 Conti/FS are pretty damn good cars actually... but they have to have the W12 ;)
That colour. Ooooooh that is very much my kind of colour. Also, as I expected from when you drove the previous Supersports Convertible, you're gonna love the Supersports 710.
Love that interior. Much more ‘Bentley’ than 3rd gen, which looks impressive but is a little bling. Remove the rear wing and the whole thing is a solid 9.
Having had 3 Boxters, up to the latest, for me it was this, without the hideous bodykit, or a Porsche 911 Carrera 4s (997 GenII) as I don't like the new 911's. So I bought a Bentley Arnage which I have to be honest was a surprise even to me but i'ts very excellent at moving you about from one place to another silently, swiftly, and classily.

Cars like this without the back seats make very little sense to me when there are sooooo many 2 seaters to choose from! This looks awesome! Well done sir, great choice 🫡
Loads of pro cyclists live in Andorra. Obviously the tax thing, but there's mountains on your doorstep for training on. And lots of other sporting facilities. Pools, running tracks etc Plus Andorra isn't full of UK self important wankers who think that they are the most important person on the road and everyone else can get out of the way. So your less likely to be hit by some twat texting than in the UK or USA or Australia
A lot cycling teams visit Andorra regularly for training so makes sense really. That I would if I could instead of getting bent over by the pricks at HMRC.
What a car and would consider one, except for the ruinous running costs and expensive dealers. I know a bit about the oily stuff, but there is limited maintenance info out there and deliberately plays into the dealerships’ hands to charge what they like and to advise on replacing parts that don’t need changing! Then the parts costs are for overpriced parts that would cost a fraction of the price elsewhere (Audi I’m thinking of you here).
To me it's the best "car" money can buy, it has everything. But in the end I bought the Porsche 😅😂, an used 911, a better sportscar with lower running costs, and maybe a little less "in your face" than the Continental. Anyway I would love to go for across Europe road trip with this one, with my 3 years old princess in the back seat😊😊😊 I am sure nothing compares to.
I think the 3rd gen tries too hard to be a 'sports car'. One of the biggest _faux pas_ was the switch to a DCT gearbox. I'm guessing they did it to save money, as it was built on a Porsche/Audi platform, but a luxury car _should_ have a torque converter. It's much smoother in heavy traffic and parking manoeuvres. I also don't think the current CGT is as elegant as the 2nd gen. I'd be quite happy with a Gen 2 CGT V8S, or a Flying Spur V8.
"I don't fully get these numbers since they are metric but I think 19.8l/100km is quite alot" this is the funniest way I've ever found out a high fuel consumption even though alot of presenters try to make some kind of a joke about it when they know it's high.
@@stuchly1 Assuming U meant mpg? And U are right no one wants it that thirsty but it's what U get with these cars and often it's still worth it. If U don't want the consumption U probably won't get the luxury.
