I am a huge fan of the bald shredder, why u ask. Because he gives honest reviews of budget guitars for people like me that cannot afford a Gibson. His guitar playing is amazing, and I really like his personality.
Finally a review with someone getting real tone out of this guitar! Dude, you saved the day for me. I am dying to buy this guitar now. Up until now, every review has just been peppered with people playing through the worst settings I've ever heard for guitar reviews. You da man, you win the prize, you're an absolute fucking shredder by the way, and many many thanks!
As long as the nut slots lined up I wouldn't have a problem with the appearance. I wouldn't want a heavy mahogany body that would be my problem here. I need a thin neck too. But for brand new $200 it can't be beat because it sounds great.
I've been noticing those guitars have started getting better ratings lately , especially their Teles. They have a couple listed with 5 star reviews and I believe they have an SG style now. Another great demo and review Mr shredder 😅🤘
That is a good looking guitar. I have active pickups on my Schecter C-1. I really like them. I do not leave batteries in my guitars, so it is one more thing for me to do before and after playing, but it is worth it to me. Great review, thanks for sharing! Shred on!
I had actives in my Schecter Denon but I'm not really into the active pickups either , I sold it but have the Damian and C deluxe with a Seymour distortion in the bridge. Love Schecters!🤘
I own a Jackson with EMG active pickups that I installed. If you have the proper female 1/4" jack, the guitar should not drain the battery when there is no 1/4" male plugged in. If it is drawing power, keep doing what you are doing but at some time you should have it looked at and corrected. Or just ignore me, trying to help.
I have the neon one. Just double checked, the nut sits fully across the top. However, they sent mine without the bag that has the battery, tremolo bar etc. They refunded me the $10 to buy a tremolo bar. Did a whole video on it. I know it’s not all that expensive but I bet if you reached out, they’d reimburse you for the nut. They’re up and coming and trying to compete with the other budget brands. They need all good PR they can get 😂
This could be many things: 1. The shorter nuts were in the wrong tray for the assembler to use at the factory. Those nuts were probably meant for their telecasters or sg models. 2. There was a manufacturer defect where the nuts were made or mislabeled upon packing and shipment to the guitar factory.
It's a beautiful guitar 🎸 I been wanting to buy one but i wasn't sure if it was good or not but most of the reviews that I have seen are positive reviews so i will buy one and that was a good jam Richard you killed it.👍
I’m glad you did this review. I was checking them out and thought they looked cool but wasn’t sure how it would sound. I’m not an active pickup guy either. It was like 20 years ago in my late teens/early 20’s I had some but I always hated having to have backup 9v batteries laying around so my EMG’s would sound good. Either way, you shred hard and I listened to your latest album and it’s killer! Keep up the quality work. I’m here for it.🤘🏻🎸
@thebaldshredder Couple if things still unsure about, They don't mention on the Amazon specs that the frets are stainless steel. Are you sure that they are? How is the tuning stability after using the trem? Can the action be set to shredder low?
Leo & Dan have the same color one as Mikes and theirs has a thin neck big giant frets and a properly cut nut. If I had to guess the one color at the factory used the ideal specs and possibly the other colors were either manufactured at a different time with different materials or made in a different location.
Can you suggest they do less green and maybe like shell pink or coral T-style with P90 neck :-) They like you, they will listen to you at IYV. Thanks for the content.
Hey, just recently found you're channel, maybe about 3 months ago. I'm more hard rock than metal, but as you say, to each their own. You recently did a review on a Volgoa SuperStrat. A simple, cheap way to fix the issue you were experiencing with the tremola bar is to insert a small spring into the hole. I like the fact that you are introducing individuals to decent, less expensive brands of guitars. Been playing for 50 years and feel current pricing on guitars is out of control. Best bet, learn basic guitar setup and maintenance and make a decent guitar, a great guitar, no brain surgery here. Will point out, avoid fret leveling unless you absolutely need to. If it's just a few frets, lightly file down where it's needed, crown and polish. There is only one issue I have with your channel that is beyond your control. Most of these guitars you demo, aren't available anywhere, let alone Amazon. I really liked the Volgoa headless, hasn't been available for months. There was another headless guitar review you did maybe just over a week or so ago, this guitar too has vanished from the face of the earth. Another thing we agree on, can't stand a fat neck, the so called "modern C". If you are purchasing online and it states the neck is a modern C, it will be fat. Purchased a Harley Benton Fusion III, kept it as it was just at the edge of it's going back. Did some fretwork, swapped out the muddy sounding pickups, now it's worth playing. As I like the sound it now produces, I think I am going to shave the neck down to where I like it.
Thanks for watching. Thanks for the advice on the bar. I agree that expensive guitars are overpriced and really there's no need to buy them. Unfortunately I have no control over the guitars being in stock on Amazon. Sometimes these companies will send me a guitar to review, but there are only a few in stock. So they quickly disappear. Hopefully they'll be back in stock in the near future.
Just seeing these guitars and looking at everything before I potentially buy one. I do miss mahogany, rosewood and (replacing) graphite nut (many, many instruments used to come with these stock if it wasn't bone) on my instruments.
I just saw Mike's (Fulton Street Beats) updated review in this guitar and he mentioned you so I had to come over and check out your review of this guitar. It really is a nice guitar, it's just too bad a few things were overlooked such as the wrong size nut.
Thanks for coming over. I hope you'll stick around. There were a few minor issues, but overall a very good guitar. Luckily changing the nut is pretty easy.
absolutely amazing guitar playing -- hard to believe that a beautiful guitar with STAINLESS frets and locking tuners can be had at this price. I would probably swap out the pickups to passive 'cause I don't want to worry about batteries.
@@thebaldshredder yellow green, the nut is short. I ordered the one u gave me the link to. And the neck is so straight it's sharp. Can I roll that? I don't mind jacking up the finish. I'm not digging the sound of the pickups from what I've seen here and elsewhere online. Easy fix is to grab some Wilkinson WOB pickups or something from GFS and then throw an active preamp from Seymour Duncan or GFS in with that. I'm partial to the Blackouts Preamp with GFS Dream 180 and Dream 90 set. I have that in my Les Paul and it's utterly insane into my Orange amp or Oxford preamp pedal. Throw some D'Addario EJ21's on it and tune to Dropped B or C# standard and bring on the brutal.
Big fan, love the reviews. I'm sorry if you've previously answered this question, but which Tusq XL did you buy? I don't want to order the wrong nut. I'm a little new to this modification. Did you have to use a blank? Thanks!
