last year we literally got taken in the 3rd alliance even tho the robot was really crapy. in one match the welding of the claw we had broke and it was literaly hanging by the little pneumatic pipe we had instaled for the pistons we had on said claw and we had to fix it with duck tape. But we still got taken because of the autonomous period we had coded in literaly 3 hours the previous day before going to bed (we were 3 in the programation team btw)and the worst thing is it worked better than some of the most prestigious team of the competition but that was in FRC competition
Love the video, one of my favourite videos on ftc, me and my team competed this year(2022) but didn’t make it farther than the qualifier, hoping to try again next year thought
Watched the whole thing thinking I recognized this channel as a channel with about 250k subs, but surprised to see only 120. The video was great, you earned a new sub.
Edison I can’t begin to describe how impressive of a man you be. First you build on your own then program. But then them editing skills. Bro what can’t you do???
Bro our school just announced that we're starting FTC and I totally didn't miss the meeting and try to search it up on YT and stumbled upon your vid, but gotta say you really gave me a great idea of what I can probably expect with this.
Nice video. I'd just like to point out, there are many other teams that have un-tipped the alliance shipping hub in practice, and I've seen it at least once in a competition (no video available, sorry).
exactly, I've been learning about stm32 programming, and the setup for that is barely harder than going through the android studio nonsense considering stm32 programming uses a code "generator" (thus it being a bit complex is ok), this does show some issues
Hello this is a bit late but I was wondering how you were able to get supplies for the robot? I'm thinking about starting my own team next year and was wondering if I could get any tips? Thanks!
supplies - avoid buying tetrix, gobilda is a good starting point but their servos can be iffy (random delayed starts after being used a while) tips - continue making improvements to your robot, don't be afraid to take everything apart but try not to make very drastic changes as the season goes on also do driver practice, your driver should communicate with your coder so they can ask for ease-of-use features
Wait FTC worlds was in Houston so right? Because I’m pretty sure I was at the same place as you then because I was doing FRC districts at the same venue
I did not -- I kinda just took all my stuff and put it on the table my pit was probably the most boring of them all, luckily our pits were just a table so it wasn't too bad
@@sheep9374 FRC is so much fun and a lot of the principles that you learn from FTC can be translated to FRC. Teams tend to be bigger so there is a lot of moving parts. I highly recommend it. -FRC team 88
yeah I basically ripped the intake design and made it worse lol ftc in my region is pretty chill I'd say, I'm never gonna be able to pull this off anywhere in the us lmao
@@sheep9374 yeah looks good tho, I love the idea of picking up the cap in auto, I thought about doing that, but we didn’t really have any actual capping mech, and those caps are super big
"Code is my enemy" *Wins Control Award*
Reminds me of the time I won the control award with an auto I wrote on the bus to the event
Our sister team did the same thing... only they didnt win anything
Checkmate, I won the control award with code I wrote after submitting the form.

At comp today, we somehow managed to outcompete the only two other teams who had applied for the control award and we didn’t have sensors.
This is one of the best FTC videos ever made IMO, big fan of your, uh, team.
Thanks :)
Bro as a FRC member, you made ftc look like a lot more fun than I was expecting it to be. Amazing video
Ftc is more fun IMO, because not only do you have to overcome the challenges of the game but you are much more restricted due to the size requirements
Alumni of 11260 here. I remember seeing 16031 in matches. Glad to hear you got to tag along to such an amazing event!
man the effort and skill put into this video is insane you earned a sub

PvZ music used, I approve good sir
this is the robot ever
Very cool video! Good looks!

As a FTC member, you make this look easier than it was. Also the go builda mecanum wheels were a good choice
gobilda mecanums are quite good

I see, thanks for telling me that
My team caught ours mid fall at worlds, which I think is pretty cool
2 years later and I find this. This is a masterpiece. (also 100th comment)
My team actually won one of our states competitions so we made worlds during freight frenzy
simply historical.
Hello, I am a capstone research student, I was wondering what topic you wrote about specifically, like what gap in the research so-to-speak.
omg thats are team 5385 thank you for show casing us in the beginning of the video keep up the work also nice editing skills ^-^
damn, really impressive what you've done. Are you gonna do ftc next year?
Unfortunately I'm g12 this year and won't be able to participate in ftc next year
I will however be doing vex u

FTC, but ye is cool
I understand your pain.
as someone who codes for an FRC robot written in C++ the android studio java coding options for FTC are so unnecessary complicated

*yes*
Frc on a budget be like
You should try FRC next
a bit too late but I'll do robomaster!
what are those slides that you used?
I started with actobotics slides but swapped over to gobilda slides as they became available
time to start an FRC team now and win at SVR
Time to convince my parents to (probabaly wont work) throw away a thousand or two for me to make a maybe working robot
