    Hotel Tango:
A kind of international tango parade, this program takes listeners from Parisian salons to the small streets of Buenos Aires, through the United States and Eastern Europe. Many of these works are stories within stories, paying homage to earlier works in the form of arrangements and transcriptions. We present a new version of Piazzolla’s Four Seasons, created by our own clarinetist, Ž. Brazauskas and a commissioned work, “Foxtrot Romeo Juliet Hotel Tango” by J. Hoffman alongside mazurkas and contradanzas, themselves predecessors of tango. Stravinsky’s iconic “Tango” coexists with with Ravel’s “Pièce en Forme de Habanera” and the concept of tango reveals itself to be malleable as its rhythms and harmonies are explored and reimagined.
    Trio Agora:
Trio Agora is a dynamic ensemble quickly establishing itself as a leader in its genre. The trio regularly commissions new works and performs self-made transcriptions, in addition to bringing the standard repertoire to stages around Europe. Its first two albums, "Youth," and “Connecting Identities,” were released in 2017 and 2020. Dedicated to pedagogy, the Trio is Ensemble in Residence at the National Students’ Academy (NMA) in Lithuania since 2018. The ensemble performs regularly in Lithuania, Germany, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Hungary, Spain, and Russia in music series such as the ENSEMS contemporary music Festival, the Mecklenburg-Vorpormmern Festspiele, and Amici della Musica Firenze, performing halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, the Kaunas Philharmonic hall and the Budapest Music Center. The ensemble seeks interaction with its audience, reviving the dialogue, creativity, and interpersonal connection at the origin of chamber music. For more information, visit trioagora.com
