I would give this season 9.4/10
The only disappointment was deku vs shigaraki, not the whole fight was bad, only the parts that bad underwhelming animation and censorship
I hope the reason the fight wasnt givin more attention is because theyre saving some sakuga animation
The saddest thing is that hawks still feels like he "betrayed" his family, even though he was 5 YEARS OLD

It’s pretty ironic that an abusive father rescued Hawks from an abusive father.
Endeavor is a good person with an obsession turning him into something he isn't, it's clear he can change for the better. Hawks father was a villain who was always like this
To be fair, Hawks's father was already abusive. Endeavor was a somewhat decent parent at first, but the messed up hero system caused a domino effect that turned him into an abusive father.
@@zachlee3388Endeavor was never a good person. His whole backstory literally comes about from the fact that he wanted to make children to suppress All Might. No amount of redemption could ever make the past die. Yes he's becoming a better person LATER, but you can't just handwave it off as an "obsession." Abuse is abuse. End of story.

He married someone to have powerful children (quirks) and he abused his two sons and left his other children without any love, oh he also drove his wife insane and she ended up in a specialist place to have professional support.
It truly ironic
No wonder Hawks is one of the top heroes he has one of the saddest and hardest origin stories he survived such a hard childhood 💔😭.
Not to mention the guy was practically lab-trained but hey, let's focus on the trauma. :)

Good on this series for being able to say “Your upbringing doesn’t determine who becomes a hero or a villain”. Hawks has a textbook supervillain backstory, but he’s the Number 2 Hero.

Honestly, the contrast between the two is fascinating
Hawks sees Endeavor the same way Deku sees All Might- a father that helped shape them into the hero they are today.
the Hawks story made me cry and I still want to hug him and comfort him, he didn't deserve to go through this

@@ayselengin1798 The difference is that Hawks didn't let the abuse and hardship he endured lead him down a dark path whereas Dabi did. One chose to make sure others wouldn't experience the same pain he went through, while the other chose to take out his pain on the world.

Hawks needs a LOT of hugs. This has to be one of the saddest backstories for a character in a superhero franchise.
He killed a guy in cold blood
And he showed full intent when doing so
This really says a lot about Hawks how his family was so awful. That’s why he tries to help the hero he looked up to as a small boy because he knows his family situation is just as awful. I feel like in any other work it would be like. “You were just as abusive as my father DIE!!!” But no it’s very well written.
Hawk's casual demeanor just sells it all through the way he behaves.
Feather-man's been through the ringer, so he knows how to respond well and brush things off. He's still there with the morals he started with.
Hawks had a difficult sad hard Childhood he is one of the greatest heroes and I love that after even having a tough child hood he is still a great guy and that’s why I love him💖💖

I remember when I first read this chapter I felt so sorry for hawks. And the saddest part about it is that there are actual kids in real life that live like this. I’m just thankful he didn’t turn out like his parents.
The sad thing is, this also happens irl and the child had to rise above their parents to break the cycle of madness, for their own good.
Gotta admire Hawks’s inner strength there👏👏

the parallelism between him and dabi is wonderful, and the fact that both reconnects with endevaur at the end. its about the choice u make, and how u let the past consume you, hawks did all of that dabi couldnt and i think its wonderful.

Were you consistently told to suck up your emotions, and have difficulty expressing them? Cause, if any of these are true, you should consider seeing a therapist. It helps greatly and can it’s really refreshing to talk about your issues openly. If you’re worried about anything getting out, don’t be; you’ll be protected by patient confidentiality.
Could explain why hawks treats tokoyami so different because hawks felt to ashamed to be born with a mutant quirk, especially from a broken household. Then tokoyami showed him kindness he never thought he recognized by a 16 year old crow. Damn
Man, just when you thought Shoto and Shigaraki had bad-enough childhoods! As bad as their households were, they were at least in nice-looking suburban homes. Not run-down shacks on the outskirts of society.
That, and they weren't lorded over by angry criminals desperate to escape the law. And speaking of which, Dabi just HAD to bring that up about Hawks in his public confessional! 😑
Your environment doesn't decide what you grow up to be. You do. You alone decide what is right, wrong, what is worth putting effort in, etc. The environment may influence that, but in the end, if two different people were to be raised in the exact same environments, events etc, they would still turn out different

It’s such a shock Hawks didn’t turn evil like Dabi
Both his mother and Father didn’t like him
His father despising him and his mother not being mentally stable to have a child
The only reason he has that endeavor doll is so he would shut up about going outside
Hawks had every right to be a villain
And yet he didn’t
He became the number 2 hero
Shows how strong his will is
And I don’t mean will to live
I mean will of being a good person
Dabi turned out that way because his father neglected him
Called him a failure
But his mother still cared
Wanting him to live a normal life
Not the fantasy his father told him to live
Dabi lost it cause his father didn’t care to even listen to him
But both of Hawks parents neglected him
One wishing for his death
And the other seeing him as a mean to get money
She didn’t care for him until he was gone
And yet Hawks still feel like he betrayed them
Toya was always gonna be evil
It would be a miracle in another universe he turned good
But Hawks is a kind person ever since he was little
He had every right to run
Every right to leave them
But he didn’t
Feeling like he would betray them if he did
He became a hero not to be number one
It so he could make people smile like his hero did for him

Man it’s a Very Good Thing Hawks didn’t became a Villain after this especially joining the league of villains who are still a group of killers and he did the right thing of stopping twice from killing more innocent people and children for the sake of others when he offered him a second chance only for twice to waste it. Hawks is still a true hero in my book especially being the type of hero that gets the job done Permanently
Interesting. Just two small things: Hawks regrets killing Twice, and if Toga has even a drop of Twice's blood, killing Twice will have been for nothing.
@@matthewmuir8884 Remember Dabi/Touya could've saved him from Hawks but he knew his death will motivate her and benefit his own goals against Endeavor with her Quirk/Superpower so he pretty much let him die on purpose to get his blood but Hawks didn't regret it because he realized that twice was too far gone into madness, he didn't want to do it but it had to be done for the sake of others.
@@InvestedGman Oh, don't get me wrong; Toya is a monster. No one is arguing otherwise (least of all Toya himself, although he then shifts blame for his monstrosity to his dad). The point was that a single blood sample is all it takes to make Hawks' reasons for killing Twice completely moot.
Twice _does_ regret killing Twice; his conversation with Best Jeanist confirms as much.

Depends on which ones. And depends on the heroes that would show up to stop them. Against All-Might, good luck they're screwed MAYBE with some exceptions. The others in the top 10? Depends on the situation.
