Mantis's Hymn Combo

- A little mix I did using Sony Vegas. Mantis's Hymn is by far one of my favorite video game songs, as it has a very simple yet very alluring melody. What I did was tediously edit and combine the versions from the original and Twin Snakes using audio cropping.
My respects to whoever made this picture, I looked for their name but I found it uncredited in someone's photobucket. All credit for the picture goes to it's original owner and creator. However the little guest cameo pic at the end was made by me.

... that nightmare is what Psycho Mantis confronted you with after you defeated him... Imagine knowing from a very young age; how much suffering and anger you instilled in your own Father, just by existing and having killed your mom in childbirth... Imagine having to carry that burden forever, even after you killed your own father.
Imagine knowing how nasty, sinful and pathetic everyone was in their own heads; where they thought all their depravity was safe behind the masks they wore... Imagine not being able to control your psychic power and being forced to see that behind every person you ever met. The bus driver, the convenience store owner; your babysitter, your mom, and your mom's "friend"... all of that sickness beneath, seeing it every day...
You'd go mad, too...

@@khaisinclair2798 You've got a point. We all want to be able to trust and respect people. Often, this requires that we do not know certain details about their lives. If one is not taught to forgive, forget, or understand human fallibility before they are able to tap into such an ability, it would be impossible to develop normal relationships, or to do much beside hate others. I can see where his character comes from, and if even just telepathy existed at this level, it would be quite possible we'd see a few people with similar notions.

Tribute to one of the greatest characters in fictive hystory ever!!! This song is so beautiful in every way that I could cry listening to it. MAGNIFICENT!!

The song bleeds suffering, which fits the character perfectly.

i love this track it makes em feel like ive just been sucked into the 10th level of hell! i always loved the mantis hymn cos it helps me concentrate on things but this is the best and creepiest mantis hymn ive heard on youtube its fucking epic!
