Really cool little amp but be aware if you order one online it doesn't come with the dc adapter, gotta pay 35$ for it. But If you use battery only you going to pay a lot for batteries.
I've got the single one and got good use for six AA. What I like is still keeping the tone even as the batteries get lower. The volume diminishes but the tone still works until the red LED is dim and then you are done. Portability is why I got this and I'm more than happy because tone and delay rock.
I agree. I have the green outer shell/black grate combo pack with adapter and extra cab, the whole nine. Got mine for 89$ about 4 years ago and literally use it everyday for different tasks. Versatility. You nailed it there. Have a great day.
I think you did a very good and professional job of reviewing this. I own 3 different Blackstar amps and have been researching this one too. My research has uncovered about the same things you have said, which gives me more confidence in purchasing it. I've been learning this is the best micro amp setup out there. I would use it for recording and mic it the same way you did (putting a good condenser mic on each speaker) to pull the nice stereo sound into the recorder. Thanks for putting this together. I'm gettin' it.
Thanks, Rumblin Man. I watched many vids about this little amp hoping someone would comment on how loud it actually sounds, and you are the only one that mentions it. So, for that, I've subscribed to your channel - but not just for that, I also like your style.
Hey RM: it's been awhile since I commented. I am sorry to hear about your job loss. You are healthy and you are blessed by the Father so I believe this is just temporary for you, good things are coming your way. I already support you at Patreon (under Patrick) and want to bump up my donation a little. Times are tough but God will deliver on His promise to take care of us who believe in His Son. Great review, cool product, and pretty Lakeland guitar. I still faithfully practice my Telecaster and basses every night, I do miss playing in my church. Take care and God Bless you brother.
How does this thing sound for general usage? I'm considering the two pack and letting them double as computer speakers and a low wattage amp to play through.
Excellent review. Wow im impressed with this amp! Would I be able to buy the bass fly, the acoustic fly, and the electric fly, and run them all through the same cab?
Would like to hear the single unit as well....you say it is loud enough with two...how about with one? Is the tone real from the amp itself or added features with computers and other stuff? Good demo though, have been trying to make difference of the ISF settings.
No, the amp has tone assuming your pickup is decent. With fresh batteries it's pretty loud. I'm always playing in my car at a parking lot somewhere with the radio or phone plugged into the line in. The size is perfect on top of the steering wheel or dash.
can you run guitar sound to other and bluetooth audio only to the other. backing track with bass and drums so you could use the other only for your guitar
The speakers on these don’t handle playing a song and the guitar at the same time very well. The overall quality of tone just drops. I’d recommend having a small Bluetooth speaker that you can play tracks out of separately from the amp.
I need to lengthen the LAN connection cable that I found out it is too short for me ...so that I can separate them into Left and Right side with my computer at the centre . May I know how to extend the LAN cable ?
@@komalthecoolk I actually run roland micro cube gx on powerbank all i need is 5.5mm barrel is the blackstar power adapter barrel or jack size is 5.5mm ?
Is it possible to connect bluetooth headphones (for example, the Sony WH-CH700N) to the blackstar fly 3 amp? i know that you can connect a smartphone via bluetooth but I don't know about headphones.
Hey, nice review. I've been eyeing this amp but not sure how can I input it directly to my PC? Just via 3,5 mm jack to motherboard line in or do I need a special cable? Also have you tried it as a computer speaker? I've heard it's not bad. Thanks.

Good to know. Thanks!
Amazon carries a power adapter that will work fine for $10. + on the inside of the barrel and - on the outside.
I use rechargeable batteries charged by a portable solar panel so it is free.

It’ll work well for that!

Maybe so! I’m not sure!
Hey RM!!!! Have you tried to use it with your GRABBER? I just ordered my set. COOL REVIEW!!!!
rocknroller Mitrakis what’s up!!!! Because it’s a guitar amp, I haven’t plugged a bass into it. They do make a bass version of the FLY, though!!!
@@RumblinMan That is what I ordered. The bass version. I thought it was for both.

How long can the batteries go before dying
Has any body tried swapping out the speakers?
The riff that started at 10:05 stole my heart.
Malcolm Butterscotch means a lot!
@@RumblinMan Sounds like Weezer in a good way!
can you use them as pc speakers using the aux port, and plug the guitar for jamming?
I think so!

It's a simple telephone plug . Just get a female to female telephone connector ( RJ11 ) and then get a telephone cord with two male ends .
I found a zoom g1xon stereo chorus doesn't work with this stereo setup of the Blackstar fly.
Bummer!
I want to connect this with a powerbank 10000 mAH and play, is it possible without risking the device ?
Hemanta kakati I’m not sure!
This is one of the few mini amps that runs only on their custom power brick. So you may not want to do that.

I was looking at this like 2 years ago before I got my amplifier headphone amp
Bully Thakidd nice!!!
❤cool
Do I need a stereo cable to plug my electric violin into the blackstar and get sound out of both amp and extention cab?
