THANK YOU J PERM!!! My tls (which is a type of sped) teacher knew I loved rubix cubing (which I first learned how to do because of you and your beginner 3 by 3 tutorial), and she has a box of a ton of types of fun rubix “cubes” (some of them aren’t really cubes, such as the megaminx, but you know what I mean). I’ve tried figuring out how to solve them intuitively (using only my beginner cubing knowledge), and I’ve solved a lot of them all on my own (except for the 4 by 4, which I used one of your tutorials for)! I tried solving the megaminx intuitively, and I got all the way to the last layer (which I knew I needed a tutorial for, because I don’t have enough rubix cubing knowledge to do it on my own, and usually you can’t really solve the last layer of stuff intuitively). So I used this tutorial to solve the last layer, and now I’ve finally solved it! It’s the end of my school year, and I solved the megaminx on the day of my 8th-grade/middle-school graduation, while I’m in the car on the drive to school! So on my last day of school I get to bring the megaminx back to my teacher fully solved (if I didn’t solve it on my last day, then it probably would stay unsolved forever, because I don’t think that anyone else in my class is into rubix cubing like I am)! So thank you so much!!! I’m counting this as a gift from you to celebrate me finally getting through the nightmare that we call “middle school”! lol 😂 Seriously tho, thank you! You’re the reason that I was able to solve the Rubik’s cube for the first time, and the reason why I learned so much about it and that I got so into it! I’ve had so much fun solving all different types of rubix cubes, and learning about cubing (and also watching all the videos of you torturing yourself with rubix cube challenges hehehe😝)! Thank you so much J Perm, I finally managed to solve my megaminx after half a day of trial and error with other tutorials. I did it first try with yours and overall, it’s a really good tutorial. Great job!👏🏻👏🏻
Nice tutorial! I've never actually watched a megaminx tutorial, so I've only ever done my own intuitive method haha. It's pretty similar, except I always misalign an edge in the s2l step, and then insert a pair and realign to make groups of 3. Then I do the last 5 pairs. With corners I do a simple 3 cycle to permute them, and then reorient them as my last step. Also, I always did F double sexy F' instead of F inverse sexy F' to orient all edges. That probably should have been obvious to me! I've recently dropped my times a lot just getting a modern magnetic/ridged/corning cutting capable megaminx. It's a lot more fun when it isn't slipping out of my hands mid solve haha.
I bought this megaminx just yesterday, got everything but the last layer corners by logic in half an hour and now with this video I solved it all. J Perm has been my favorite cubing channel for years now. Love you.

Same here...but understood it later...If you know f2l on a 3x3, it should get easy for the last 2 colours .. because u have only 2 sides to move (same as 3x3)... Just make a star of a single colour and fill the edge pieces in pair... I hope this helps...

@CookieCubing123 I'd just like to say thank you so much for you 2bld tuturorial. I learnt how to do it a few months ago and I can now do 4bld. Thank you for helping me start this passion!
Now I just need a megaminx
I have had one of these for fecking YEARS and with this tutorial solved it in "just" a few hours. This is so satisfying to finally have completed.
Thank you so much J Perm, I finally managed to solve my megaminx after half a day of trial and error with other tutorials. I did it first try with yours and overall, it’s a really good tutorial. Great job!👏🏻👏🏻
Yee, I finally convinced my mom to let me order a Meilong
Same XD
THANK YOU SO MUCH, IT WAS SO EASY!! ❤
Great tutorial! I just did my first timed solve, it was 5 minutes 18 seconds
How much does it take 2 years later?
Wut du hullllll
Thank you so much! This helped me a lot!
Never had a megaminx but I still watched it and learned it.
Thanks now I can help my friend solve the megaminx.
Hey guys! Today I solved my first megaminx!!! Thank you so much J perm!!!
I bought this megaminx just yesterday, got everything but the last layer corners by logic in half an hour and now with this video I solved it all. J Perm has been my favorite cubing channel for years now. Love you.
I finally am able to solve this! Took me nearly three hours for the first attempt and twenty minutes for the second! Thank you so much 😎
U should do a tutorial on advanced megaminx solving
(Sub 4 on megaminx?)
Sub-4 is not advanced... Sorry... But yes that would be a good video idea
The Anonymous Cuber yea I kinda suck
The man be solving it side by side
Ive been putting off solving a megaminx for 5 years, but i finally had the guts to solve it thanks to your awesome tutorial! Thanks so much!
TYSM!!!!!!!!!!! I found this sooo helpful as i really wanted to solve my megaminx. Again, you were the only tutorial who I can understand and please keep making positive content like this.
Thank you for all the cubing information keep up the good work
I remember a few years ago I would sit in my parent's room watching tutorials on how to solve a megaminx and I would never be able to get it. This helped so much a few years later thank you so much!
After 10 seconds of uploading this tutorial:

YAYYYYYYY I FINNALLY DID IT!!!!!!!!! I wanted to throw this cube across the room sooooo many times! Thank you J Perm!!
If the two solved edges are across from eachother, face one and put the other in the back right. Do t-perm until all edges are solved
Thank you! I have solved the megaminx thanks to you, but I still have trouble on the second two layers on the last 2
Same
Thanks bro I was struggling to solve the last layer 😀

Thank you so much 😊 I learned the cube in 15 min. It was so simple and the way you made the tutorial was also amazing 😁😁😁
Nice job :) I switched to using OLL/PLL this year, and I'm almost sub 1:40 already, but always good to see another well worded and concise tutorial come out. 💪
Thanks bought a megaminx and solved it last 2 steps were slightly tricky but eventually got it down for anyone struggling don't give up you'll get it eventually
Thank you bro I learned this 5 months ago using this video but I was a issue than I watch it again my issue was solved like the cube lol
You helped me a lot in the past month of solving the megaminx. I can now finally solve the megaminx by my own
bro i thank u a lot my son is your big fan and he all=ways uses your methods to solve his cube
Not interested in mega , also know how to solve
Still watching

Just solved the mega minx. It took me 3 hours. Time to watch this tutorial and start speed solving!
Hello, thanks for your great videos. Can you upload a video to solve the megaminx faster by intermediate or advanced algorithms for F2L or S2L ?
This is a great tutorial overall but i am still not able to solve it as the green and purple sides are so hard. You could have gone a bit more indepth on those but still, overall a great tutorial. Hope i will be able to solve it soon :D
Same here...but understood it later...If you know f2l on a 3x3, it should get easy for the last 2 colours .. because u have only 2 sides to move (same as 3x3)... Just make a star of a single colour and fill the edge pieces in pair... I hope this helps...
Thank you j perm!
Me and my uncle was just talking about u and megaminxes then u post this vid
if your uncle is a cuber you are lucky
Mody Ghandoor on rell dude
Your uncles cool

Oh! My goodness j perm started doing another event...Btw please unbox yuxin blue 4x4

Thank you so much now I am able to solve a megaminx.
Thanks for making the easiest “beginner” tutorial to mess up and have to start over from the beginning
Update: I used my own methods to solve the last layer and it’s so much easier than whatever tf you were doing... faster too
the tutorial is so easy. how could you possibly mess up?
When you spend 3 hours working on it just to find you have a twisted corner😭😭
Thanks a lot....🎉I finally made my 1st megaminx solve
Video title should be: How to microwave you brain: Beginners Tutorial
If you knew how to solve 3X3, it wouldn't be that hard. I'm guessing you don't know...
Yup
@@psps2806 bruh I know how to solve 3x3 doing f2l and my mind is a clusterfuck rn
@@realct5943 yep. it's so confusing to do f2l in megaminx

Me: Hey dude, J Perm makes the best cubing videos ever
My Friend: Nawww...
TEN DAYS LATER
Me: I SOLVED A MEGAMINX!
My Friend: Did you watch a video?
Me: Yeah
My Friend: Who did you watch?
Me: *J Perm*
Hey J Perm! I love your videos!! But, mostly whenever I solve the gigantic megaminx, I get a situation on the last phase (solving the entire megaminx) where two edges are supposed to be flipped with each other, and the same with another two, and one is already solved. Whenever I try to solve this, I mostly get the white star messed up. Please tell me what I have to do??

Thanks so so much for this vid, very helpfull! I can finally solve it out of my head. It was much easier and much more fun than expected!
Thanks J Perm.I only bought it today and I learned how to solve it today as well!
Hey guys! Today I’m going to show you the names of the steps of this megaminx tutorial. 1. White star. 2. First 2 layers (F2L) 3. Second 2 layers (S2L) 4. Gray star 5. Algin star pieces 6. Gray face 7. Solve the megaminx!
Hey thanks heaps! Really helpful! Probably, start your own channel. All the best! 👍💐
