Its definitely a homage. Thomas Silver liked to add licks from his influences into HCSS songs. He uses part of Bark at the Moons solo and Crazy Trains solo in this song. He also uses Lyndyrd Skynyrds Freebird solo in Standing on the Verge. I dont consider them a rip off in any way. Their more tributes to the great musical influences.
@JudasXPriest Silver is one of my favorite players. He's definitely underrated. He reminds me a lot of Paul Chapman from UFO, not in his sound but that he's a very interesting player and doesn't get the credit he deserves.
