I know it may sound harsh, but after seeing the time difference and expecting this run to be mind-blowing, it... wasn't. There's no thrill that came with your Nightmare WR run, and somehow Clouder's previous easy record seems more joyous to watch. Probably it's something very subjective tho. The time is quite fantastic and I can only but congratulate you on beating the most important speedrun record (topping Super Mario IMO). Perhaps I've watched these TAS Quake runs too much to be spoiled by this tho, unsure..
Unimaginable accomplishment, such a joy to watch and the thrill to see you manage all the difficult parts all in one go is incomprehensible.. Any stats on amount of gameplay and trials before you succeeded to capture this run? Just so that new people have a rough idea on how much grinding this actually takes if they ever will challenge it? @@WajDjaj Thank you for the kind words! I have 9000 attempts in total with 50 or so finished runs, not accounting for all the practice and other knowledge and experience from different categories and individual level runs. I played 8 hours every day for 3 weeks to improve on this record.
If i have to guess, probably triggering a monster and expecting it to move or spawn at a certain location? I mean, at 9:18 he's making use of an lg exploit and damaging the vores at the end of the level.
