This was so helpful! I understood slippage might be an issue and so far its mostly happening in two softer areas on the front of my hair. You giving an idea of when it might stop helps me look forward to that time. Thanks for sharing!
Hey sis! Now that you’re a sisterlock trainee is there anything that you noticed about your locks now that were done incorrectly or something you would’ve possibly done differently. I’m thinking about taking the retie class. I’ll probably take the full class in the future because my daughter is 1 but I am wanting to lock her hair as well. I already own a spa so for me I don’t want to add no more services 😂 butttttt I would def take the class just because so I can do my own and my daughters. I don’t have the patience to do others esp with this crampy hands.
Hey sis! This is a great question. Yes I noticed a few things that were bothersome & not done right. Also a lot of information that was provided that was not 100% correct. I originally had no plans of managing my own self reties on an ongoing basis maybe just from time to time until I noticed locks that were more damages due to an attempt to fix holes leading to knots in my Locs which I was told “was fine” or would be corrected at later appointments which never really happened. Also I noticed inconsistency in my locking pattern leading to the holes being created. My foundation was amazing as far as the parts and sizing but the actual locks had more damage to them than i realized until taking the official trainee class. The self retie class I think everyone should take so they know how to manage there own hair just in case they ever need to but you won’t learn a ton on managing the lock just the new growth - if you’re planning to do your daughters hair one day I say go for they full class that way you save some money and learn all the ins and outs it’s 100 percent worth it even if you never get a single client. Consider an investment you’ll save more money over time learning to truly care for your hair! It’s super empowering! Good luck & thanks for the comment
