Anyone else severely disappointed when Dorea Potter nee Black and Charlus Potter were declared by JKR to NOT be Harry's grandparents? I loved the Idea of the Potter Family being a contrast to and santuatary from the Black Family. I had this entire head-canon where Dorea had married Charlus against her families wishes. Then, over the years, multiple members of the Black family (ex. Andromeda and Sirius) had sought the Potters out for comfort, guidance, and support. I imagined a few epic scenes where Dorea and Charlus had to fend off Bellatrix, Walburga, etc. from traumatized children who had fled to their aunt for sanctuary and protection. The blood relationship would have helped explain why Tonks would be okay with having Harry be Teddy's Godfather (they would have been cousins rather than acquaintances who had met three or fours times in passing). ...maybe I just read to much fanfiction.
Why am I watching this now? Omg, The manips are spectacular. This song was definetely written for The Black Family. All The scene are so fitted together and they also perfectly work with The lyric My fave scenes are - The school part - The deatheaters scenes - all The flashbacks - all The manips

This family is the incarnation of "don't let people see through the curtains"( ok, I've just remembered that walburga s portrait is REALLY hidden under a curtain) . Faking all the time that things are alright, giving the impression of a wealth and respectable family, but they are rotten. They are so much focused on appearences (expecially the older generation. While we see that even Narcissa was slowly growing out of this behavior) than they can't break the circles and the golden cage , the children were supposed to be like their parents, and when they were not, simply cutted off. That's so sad, they could have been the best of family if they wanted, but they only gave sufferences to themselves and their children. They loved their children to death. Their parents loved them so much, so very little to be fair, that they let them die, frist in their souls. This is a family in which nothing can grow, they are all dead inside
