- I'd just like to say thank you to the National Railway Museum staff for there help with this video, if it had not been for them I would not had been able to video the June update in this video. Thanks Again.
A magnificent engine. I remember years ago, prior to SNG's restoration; visiting NYMR and coming back from Goathland on a train pulled by Sir Nigel. I jumped off at the station before Pickering, running down the platform, taking a few photographs of the engine and getting back on again... such happy memories watching this. Thank you. Gordon Taylor, Bonnie Scotland.
Thanks I was very interested in your video as I had a very small part to play in this restoration.
I work for an engineering company in Wrexham and Llan Rail are a customer of ours.
When they was restoring the boiler I personally made 200+ parts called crown stays which are used to re assemble and align the boiler parts.
When finished I got to deliver then to Llan Rail and after making my interest known was given a tour of their sheds and workshop. Really enjoyed that.
Great clip & an excellent renovation!
Lovely to see it being cared for so much. I saw it many a time in the fifties and sixties at Kings Cross when I used to train spot.
I can’t wait to see sir Nigel gresley return soon with saphos trains duty
What a fantastic engine
Once again Steve, so very impressed with your videos
Magnificent engine. Great vid.
Nice video ,now with No9 being retired it would be nice to see SNG turned out in late BR green for a spell
It's a shame it's no longer part of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
So it’s back in steam and service now, and what railway will own it?
Love those unnecessary apostrophe's!
