  • It's funny, how I was so at peace, while getting on the boat from the beach, traveling about one minute and 30 seconds from the beach shore. Then, readily waiting for my turn to go, I perched up on the edge of the boat, while focusing on the dark blue water. My conscious was wide open, clearly knowing what was below waiting. I placed my mask over my eyes, and put my regulator in my mouth. 1-2-3, feet over head, I was in the water with one of the oceans greatest predators. I swam over to the guide line, along with the group. We all held onto and lowered ourselves down to the ocean floor using the guide line. The guide lines were, one vertical line, and one horizontal line connected. I spotted and counted eight bull sharks below us, during the decent. The group reached the ocean floor at a specifically marked area. Nine big, pregnant bull sharks showed up to the party. The bull sharks, timidly interacted with us. I had a big female shark, swim directly at me. We made eye contact, because I saw her pupils fix on my eyes. Once the eye contact was acknowledged by both me and the shark, she turned left, just a few feet away, and swam around. A lot of action was happening behind the group; however, Octavio "The Shark Feeder" kept the bulls coming. The ascent was so peaceful and serene. As the group slowly rose from the ocean floor, the bull sharks began to respectfully, see us out of the water, safely. They circled the group and swam beneath us. I almost felt like I was a pet inside of a enormous fish tank. The group ascended slowly, then, we waited at the safety stop, which is at fifteen feet below the surface, for a time limit of three minutes. This allows any gas buildup from the dive, to escape our body. Now, I do not know if I would call this a safety stop with all of the bull sharks circling us, but you get where I am going with this. While at the safety stop, the group stayed closely together, and in total control of buoyancy and depth, hovering between fifteen and twenty feet. The group's buoyancy was perfect! No one bumped into each other or kicked anyone in the face with fins. Everything was ABSOLUTELY calm... I focused on the sound of my breathing. I did not struggle with take everything in, because I was in a calm state of mind and energy.
The group finally surfaced, and held onto a line, that was connected on the side of the boat, which is there for the divers to hold, while boarding the boat from the water. I kept my face in the water, because I wanted to look beneath the boat, while wait for my turn to climb up. Sure enough, the bull sharks were circling us all the way up. Now, that just makes me think, what was that actually about? GREAT DIVE
