That's a shame that you walked into a dirty home. I sold a property many years ago, and I left it immaculate. When I put it on the market, everyone said it's the cleanest property they had looked at. I was so proud!
We need more people like you 😊. I can see how someone would not care to clean since they are moving out, there are so many things to make sure of, they wont see this house anymore etc. But being the one moving into a house that I have to first clean before I unpack, it's tiring.
When I moved out of my last property, which was a rental, my ex partner and I scrubbed it from top to bottom. I wouldn't dream of leaving someone a dirty house!
We moved recently after thirty eight years at our previous home which was all our married life so far...I have been so upset at the amount of cleaning involved...We had no idea that a property would not be cleaned through...Moved for health reasons to a bungalow to make life easier but it has been tough so far...And doing a major declutter aswell as no storage space...A local charity is collecting from us and friends are doing tip runs which has been a great help...Most people we speak to say that it is rare to go into a clean home...Our buyers seemed pleased with the cleanliness at our previous home...
That’s one thing about deep cleaning a new house you just moved into. It’s a lot of work but once you get rid of the previous occupants “germs” and “grime” then the new dirt you make yourselves such as in the shower doesn’t seem as gross. The initial cleaning though is very hard work because it’s pretty much everywhere. If only we kept up with our houses with as much deep cleaning attention as when we first moved in our houses they would sparkle. Ha ha. I am way too tired for all that but you did inspire me a bit. I am curious if you are finding much more to declutter as you unpack or did you do most of the decluttering before you moved. So pretty much everything you are unpacking is exactly what you want and use. Did you feel like you held on to extra items because you weren’t sure what to keep in the new house or are you still just trying to find your important things that are still packed away. Well i am looking forward to the next video. You’re doing a great job💁🏼♀️

Thanks for the video inspo. Watching you unpack and settle in reminds me why I have been doing this massive purge journey to begin with. The end result should be a smoother settling in process. It's been so hot that I have lost physical motivation. My mind still wants to go, but my body wants to stay in the coolest room in the house! Purging a basement in heat, that's filled with bugs, I'm over it. So I am taking a break from that big job. There's no room yet to start removing stuff from my multi-use room (which is a week project in itself) so I'm on to smaller tasks since most bigger ones are already done (besides the two mentioned above). I am purging my massive collection of board games, my shelf and hutch in dining room, and packing up boxes of stuff we won't necessarily use until we move in 2 months. That's the best I can do in between long breaks from the hot, buggy, basement. Nothing like having spiders crawling on sweaty skin! Sorry for the images but that's the true experience and I need to be in the right head space to tolerate it. Thank God I don't have a phobia of spiders or I would never touch the space. One positive thing is all the storage is in totes so it's clean and dry inside. Anything that was not is trashed. Anything in the boxes is re-boxed, cleaned, to be donate or sold. Anyway, took a break from the heat, watched your video... Back to my "too many" board games collection. To defend myself, game night has been a family tradition from the begining and everyone who has ever been to one has at some point gifted a game they wanted to play with us, that's why I own 40 games! Great work on the clean! I love having the corner Super Susan. We use so many seasonings and oils when cooking, that's what I store mine in. I have a label on the top of each of the seasonings so I can see from the top. For the bottom shelf, I put a label on the front of the lid so I can see those easily, too. It's so much easier than having them in a cupboard being knocked over like in other homes we had.

You might want to look into “child proof locks” for the cabinets in your kitchen. They prevent children from getting into items they shouldn’t be near, I.e., cleaning products, medicines, glassware, etc.
Oh, yes, I have one I must have had it off for some reason. I mean the under the sink cabinet. The rest I am considering something to be able to open fast. I also want to place one on the lazy susan, because my son can pinch his fingers there. Thank you Beverly. 😊💕
I loved your video. FYI, we had a problem with ants until we used Home Defense, which is available at The Home Depot and Lowe's. We only needed to spray it once a year and didn't have problems since. Also, for our medicines, I separated them into white IKEA bins (the ones where one side has a cutout). One is for pain relief, one is for my medicines, one is for my husband's medicines, and one is for the kids. Each one is labeled so my husband can find things!
I keep my cleaning products under the kitchen sink but its hard to differentiate which is which, there needs to be a shelf in there. I put the cleaning products i need in the bathrooms in travel size spray bottles to take up less space
Great video Jenia. Keep the grater machine. I know its a pain but you will use it and regret giving it away. Химией это в первый раз хочется дом отмыть, потом стараться буду как можно меньше химию использовать. А что ее потом водой отмывать надо - это я даже и не знала 😊
I hate hairs in the aink, even my own, never mind someone else's! I think all of us have something that just revolts us, and for me, it's hairs. So, quite why I got two Maine Coon cats, who shed everywhere, I'm not sure! Although, their hairs and fluff don't really bother me. It's *mainely* a matter of vacuuming daily. (Did you see what I did there??).
Yes, hair is revolting, like you said, especially a strangers hair in your space. You got the kitties because they will be your family and they are the cutest fluffs to have around. I love them all. I'd love to get another one, but I have to look carefully because my husband is allergic to cats. I can only get certain breeds.
The previous owners for our house also left their toilet brush for us as well as a ton of filth that I spent a week deep cleaning before our big move in.
I’m genuinely shocked! One must be of a certain kind to leave their own shit to be cleaned by the people who has just bought the house!!! I always left my sold houses cleaned for the new owners. Lack of ethic, gosh!

Hi to you try lemon juice and baking soda
It will take time to get everything we're you really want it
TFS
You may be able to pull the stove out and clean the sides, back and floor underneath.😊
Yes, I almost mentioned it in the video too. I never pulled a stove out, but I was afraid to. I think I'll ask my husband to do that.
I would do this with the fridge too. There’s always fun surprises underneath.
Your home is beautiful but I can see why you want to deep clean everything! That oven was DISGUSTING! I love your videos x x
Thank you Inez! Good to see you! 😊
Omg you're a definitely a super woman 😮😊😵😵💫😭 you have 2 todlers and you're moving out and you're cleaning the new house and organising it and you're also doing UA-cam 🤯 you're doing 3 or 4 mayor jobs at once 🙉🙈🙊😲 I get tired and headache just by watching what you're doing lol 😅 miss, your husband must be a lucky man 😊 without kids and doing UA-cam I can't do all that cleaning, moving and organising ,its just too much for me ,🤷♀️ but you're doing it 👏👏👌and you're amazing 😊
I had to laugh when you said you hate grating ! I do also but my husband loves coleslaw and carrot cake so I grate carrots all the time lol. Love your new home and videos Jenia, great job!! Grate 😂😂
Calling appliances "machines" sounds really hardcore! 😂
Oh my gosh hahahahahha😂😂😂! Sometimes I get stuck remembering a curtain word in English and end up just saying whatever. You made my day, this is hilarious!!
@@fromjeniawithlove2506 well they really are machines of sorts so no worries
🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼
Женя, как настоящая американка все моет химией, не вымывая потом её водой.
Химией это в первый раз хочется дом отмыть, потом стараться буду как можно меньше химию использовать. А что ее потом водой отмывать надо - это я даже и не знала 😊
♥️🤗🙏
😁😁
@@fromjeniawithlove2506 you're right, my kitties are my babies. They make me happy!
Do people seriously leave their old toilet brushes for the new owners in the house they are selling!? That is discusting. XD
Lol, I don't know, but I wouldn't wanna use one. I don"t think it is a thing you can borrow or hand down to someone. 😁😁😁
I'm for new toilet seats as well, if budget allows.
@@vbo9872 omg yes lol. That is something that is automatically added into my budget when moving!
🇪🇦💕🌞👍
They left the old toilet brushes???
Omg gross
Lol, yes!
