@@TacTixHD Greiss liked some posts comparing Hilary Clinton to Hitler back in 2017 and Germanys coach comfirmed that Greiss would not be selected to the Olympic squad. So it is realistic that he is not in the squad and he has said that he won't represent Germany in the future.

Had the NHL left to the Olympics, the following players (in these rosters) would have been eligible for the Triple Gold Club if their country had won a gold medal:
- Ryan O'Reilly and Brad Marchand for Canada
- Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, Dmitry Orlov and Andrei Vasilevskiy for ROC
- Nicklas Bäckström and Victor Hedman for Sweden

Team Latvia roster looks pretty weak, because most of them play in the KHL. Guys that will be in the roster - KHL: Darzins, Indrasis, Rihards Bukarts, Jaks, Cibulskis, Sotnieks, Freibergs, Zile. / Czech extraliga - Dzierkals, Roberts Bukarts, Balinskis / Others - Krastenbergs, Kalnins, Dzerins
Ironically didn’t kaprizov have the winner against Germany to win the goal medal in 2018 and he scored the OT goal in the sim

Mads Eller is indeed Lars' brother. oddly enough as December 24, they both have 24 points in their respective leagues. Lars has played 25, Mads has played 23. I believe Mads is in the game because he plays for SønderjyskE, who are in the Champions Hockey League section.
And yes I loved seeing the USA win! And i did love seeing Canada get knocked out by us. Rocky start but finished strong. Too bad its not real life.
can you do a similar video for the eventual teams that do play in the Olympics? It'll be interesting to see how a Team Canada comprised of AHL/European league players will do...
If the majority of players are in the game I will. If I have to create like 100 players for it probably wont be worth it lol
kinda sad how underrated European players are, Josi was rated in the low 70's before going to the NHL and suddenly got 80+ just by beeing drafted into the NHL

I’m curious why you put Crosby at center over Bergeron just for the fact that Bergeron is a better face off taker than Crosby
Its not so surprising to think Czechia is better than Slovakia when you realize and see the fact that the Czech Republic has almost twice as many people population wise to draw from, it has 10.7 million about and Slovakia has about 5.5 million. Not that makes every difference, like China sucks at hockey much more and they are the largest country in the world, but most of those people have no tradition in hockey or as much opportunity to get good at it or play it as they do here in the traditional markets, the Czech and Slovaks being two of them. One reason you may think of them being equal was because they were not so long ago one country, Czechoslovakia, and the players from both parts represented it as a whole, but most of them were probably Czechs themselves too. I really would say a reason USA has caught up somewhat to Canada to being almost equal in a lot of ways is a sense of tradition has been going on long enough here the larger population to draw talent from has started making a difference. But even in Canada still your much more likely to get the chance to play hockey as a kid than anywhere else, hence your still a bit better it would seem, plus Russia is also bigger than Canada and has probably as many kids playing hockey there than in the US and so thats why they have been as good or better than Canada too, more people to draw talent from and as good of a tradition in teaching the young ones how to play it.

If he had been in here instead of either Fleury or Binnington, Canada wins. Not a single shred of doubt in my mind. I know it’s a bit odd that a single player could hypothetically do so much, but Price is probably one of the best NHLers to never win a Stanley Cup.
