Yeah Sandi’s pretty neat, i love her spirit and her art is fun and playful, she’s very true to herself. I just learned last night on her channel what she started in watercolors!
You have inspired me the last few months to start painting again, thanks. I’m not on social media so if you ever start a membership to see more, please let me know. I love your style!
And so many times we think we must create a master pieces each time to paint, I’m finding out it’s not the case…playing is equally important, or maybe more important because it teaches us new things.
Loved the cinnamon rolls and the best part is they’re calorie free! 😂. Love your style of art. Please consider sharing the journal once it’s completed, thank you!
Your humor is so helpful. It helps me perceive how making art doesn’t need to be so serious. I look forward to practicing humor as I “tap, tap, tap” my brush full of paint! Thank you for the inspiration😊
Thank you. I'm 75 and just started watercolor 2-3 months ago. Journals terrify me, but your video (and the humor) might change my mind. My background includes graphic design and photography. I use both for various things during my watercolor travels. It's natural for me to take a tutorial drawing, lighten it up in Photoshop, and print it on watercolor paper so the lines are not so heavy. Or take one of my photos and turn it into a black and white line drawing. Do you know that horrifies many old-school artists? They act like I'm committing sacrilege and that my work is not original because some of it is beyond brush, paper, and paint. So thank you for not making me feel I'm all alone out here.
Not sure why a journal would scare you, if anything they would be less scary because no one see’s them, only you. I just got a huge Strathmore Mixed Media one yesterday, I’m thinking I’ll play around with abstracts in that one. And you’re not alone with using modern technology to do some cool things. I’ve never printed onto watercolor paper before, i just jump right in and paint…plus, I’m horrible painting within the lines, or following a tutorial. I’m also the crazy girl running loose in an art class not follow directions.
@@debralynrosenbachart Journals scare me because I'm a total newbie and don't trust myself yet. Most of my efforts go into the trash and I don't think I could rip out journal pages and throw them away. I do keep some paintings so I have a history that I'm improving. And I am, but it sure is slow. PS, the only problem with printing on watercolor paper is it has to be 8.5 x 11, or less. So I end up cutting the 9 x 13 down. I do admire your style so loose. I'm working on it.
Okay. You convinced me. I'll buy an art journal tomorrow. Hmmphf! But i'm so afraid I'll do something marvelous in my journal, then not be able to reproduce it for sale or gallery hanging.
@@debralynrosenbachart Just came home with a new journal. Will start tomorrow. Yes, it is a good way to document my favorite color combinations. Colors are my weakness - I can't even remember my colors when I'm in the middle of a painting.
I was just playing in my sketchbook book last night while tv was on. Mine isn’t very big, but hopefully you’ve inspired me to loosen up in it and play more. Really enjoyed watching your play. Thank you.
This is so marvelous Debra Lyn, what is the journal that you're using. I've been looking for a horizontal journal for a while and can't find one. Thanks.
Beautiful petals in the wind ! ( I also liked the cinnamon roll roses 😅) thank you for sharing your journey x
Thanks Christine!!! You’re welcome.

I LOVE THIS!!
I love the empowerment of this. The freedom we have in giving ourselves permission to play ❤
