I think my biggest piece of advice after going through FAR is know your journal entries! You can get through most questions and even Sims knowing those
Thanks for sharing! Your outline is amazing. This is also the most useful CPA prep video I've seen. Could you do a video on how to fit in studying for the CPA exam while you're holding down a full time job with a family?
Gov accounting is very unimportant for the FAR exam now. All you need to know is the funds and the methods of accounting used for them. Nothing additionally.

there are just so many topics in FAR, how is it you decided these were the absolute key topics for the exam? I assume obviously its because you took the exam and scored so high, but do you think that this will still remain true for tests in 2025? Please let me know, thanks!
On weekdays, you studied for around 2 hours, and on weekends, you spent about 5 hours reviewing the weekday materials. Using this method, it would take 5-6 months to study each section?
Obviously Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
No offense, but video lectures are a waste of time; go straight to the MCQs and work backwards. Only watch the lecture if you're struggling with the content. Superfast CPA
These are definitely daunting. The best tip for SIMS with many exhibits is to preview each exhibit for 30-60 seconds and write down the main purpose of each SIM.

Thanks for the tips!. I'm preparing for this exam from outside of the States. So the information is very limited. Any MCQ set you are recommending?

How did you finish the lectures, take notes, AND practice MCQs in 2 hours when some of these module videos are 2 hours long by themselves?
The lectures is where you can lose a lot of time. I would try watching them at a 1.5X speed or try lectures that are shorter in nature.
Which study material u prefered /used for study for example becker ,Uworld ,gliean
So I assumed each week you recommended complete 1 chapter including taking notes, review and practice it on the weekend right?
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure!

If there was some advice about working full time while studying would be appreciative.
The key is maintaining consistent studies, even if you don't study for a long period of time. Try to get in at least an hour a day of studying.
This is for the new FAR exam?
Yes, this is based on the new 2024 exams.

Hey, Is encumbrance accounting being tested on FAR exam?
Good question. No, they are not. For governmental, you simply need to know all the funds and which methods of accounting they use. That's it.
