    YOOOO I'm the redditor who made that spreadsheet! I just smiled so big when I heard you mention it, I never expected the players themselves would stumble across it and find it interesting, this just made my day. Thanks V :)

      Also the thread I posted it in wasn't about people's performance in GG, it was actually just in the comments under the episode itself when it was posted on the subreddit. I wasn't trying to start any narratives or anything, I've been working on it the last few weeks just bc I'm a nerd who loves GG and making spreadsheets and I thought it'd be fun to keep track of things. I thought there might be other nerds like me who'd be interested in seeing the data so figured I'd post it in the comments to see if anybody else was interested. Again, never expected that any of the players would find it and I'm so glad you found it interesting ! I plan on keeping it updated each week so ya'll can bookmark it if you want to come back as the season continues.

    Speaking on the first part of the video, something that might not necessarily come through watching the GG episodes themselves is how there is a difference between being good at the game and being good at GG. Not to glaze too hard but you haven’t been sent home yet which is pretty good expression of skill, whether that skill is the game knowledge, politicking, going under the radar, etc. huge fan of the reviews btw!

    I really enjoy prop hunt, but i feel like the tie breaker was an RNG check on which direction J1mmy walked.
    Given the odd number of people, I think a better tie breaker would have been the tied people acting as seekers. Whoever would find more props wins the tie. Would give another split-perspective sequence that would have more action to it
    Still, fun episode. Interesting to hear your thoughts, enjoying these videos

    • @VtheVictim
      @VtheVictim  28 днів тому +37

      I like your tiebreaker idea a lot. Superior to what was more or less a coinflip.
      Like you mentioned, the whole challenge was heavily weighted on where J1mmy started. If J1m came through the Warriors' Guild front entrance, B0aty probably wouldn't have been found that quickly despite being the gigantic ToB entrance, and if J1m started far south in Taverley, Settled and I would likely have been found right away.

    • @SoupRS
      @SoupRS 28 днів тому +65

      Super cool idea! Though I won't lie, time wise that would take quite a bit of time. We usually try to stay under 1 hour when it comes to filming the challenge portion of the episode and this would probably just take too long. We had already passed an hour for the first 2 games of prop hunt and this was kind of the best way to break the tiebreaker and do it fairly quickly. But I love ideas like this! Keep em coming :)

      Respectfully, I disagree with that idea. In GG there are alliances. So, theoretically people could make themselves easier or harder to find based on the person seeking. Even if you made the first seeker random, the players would then know who the second seeker is. Not trying to imply that players would play shady like that, but it is a real possibility.

    I think Settled put it perfectly last Season (think it was last season) when he said the reason you're such a serious contender isn't because you're the best at everything, it's because you're highly consistent. Everyone has a niche or 2 they're powerful in, 2 or 3 they're good, 1 or 2 they're okay and everything else they're bad. For you, it's more like... 5 or 6 you're good in and most of everything else you're okay. Most important however... you excel under pressure. Look at Settled and how he was having a panic attack! In his review he said as much as well. If he had lost the 2nd round there's a real chance he would have gotten into his own head on round 3 and failed as well. You on the other hand were so cool and collected in your banning you made your opponent doubt themselves to the point of losing!

    Honestly I feel like the spreadsheet only highlights what makes you such a unique threat in GG, sure the data only says that you’ve been performing slightly higher than the average, but you’ve also shown to have that “clutch factor” to suddenly perform extremely well every time it really matters. All together it makes for a unique sandbagging playstyle that I find very fun to watch.

    My idea for next prop hunt if it comes back next GG is maybe there's a list of objects you're Allowed to be. And obviously this list would be hidden from the seeker. This way you'd easily be able to find the id's for items since I'd include them in the list next to the item. And the list could be pretty long too if they really wanna put in the effort and not make it feel restrictive since you're picking from a list now.
    I think this would be a good way to do it because you can organize the list based on tall/small items, have the id number next to it, and there's no confusion about what items are "approved" or not because they're already on the list
    Though this /Could/ mean we don't get things like boaty's funny TOB moment, but hey! they could totally throw in meme objects to the list, like the ectofuntus just for settled :P
    Soup if you see this ty for your hard work I love GG :)

    A fun way to do prop hunt would be if Soup picks a number of items for each area, and randomly assigns players 1-8. Taking turns picking items to be. That way there are no "is this ok, is this not ok" items. Then in the 2nd round, players would pick items in reverse 8-1 order.
    the sabotaged player would have to pick last each time.

    Yeah man I agree. The RNG challenges are best left for the beginning, or maybe just spun at random with a wheel determining the category of the banning (skill based pvm/pvp/rng/trivia/etc). I've sorta put you under the category of above average pvmer/decent game knowledge. Settled, Boaty, Roidie, Faux and Solo are definitely better all rounders (I think Settled is a bit weaker in the pvp side than the other 3). Nonetheless your personality is always great to see in the games where there's a lot of big type a personalities. Bit disappointed there weren't any snippets of J1mmy vs C Engineer beef in there because their banter is hilarious lol. Overall really enjoyed seeing you being brought into the games though.

    Actually victim I think that’s on par how the viewers have certain views on who’s the best or competing the best, versus who is actually the most all rounded competitor.
    It’s kinda like how the professional sports use to have top 100 and then they would let all the players actually vote in who they thought was the best and it was always like the players and viewers were watching a completely different sport.
    I also think the RNG episode are fine but when it comes down to a banning it really feel like it should be skill based as much as possible. Kinda like this episode.

    one thing that comes up a lot is that everyone in GG is a good player it's easy for players that aren't in the games to kind of couch speculate on it. even the so called weaker players are genuine threats and good on their feet Even the PKers are a lot more respectable in PvM and game knowledge than a lot of people give them credit. you're very consistently good which doesn't really show as a stand out as much even in Season 3 you performed consistently pretty well rather than single stand out flash in the pan style events. You're not a larger than life personality like solo mission boaty and even settled a little bit so it's not as obvious how good you are just because you're not as vocal.
