Need more Gordon behind bars Episodes! Gordon is actually using his fame and skills in good use. Using this platform to motivate and teach the inmates accountability and self determination to become responsible workers by engaging them in the kitchen delivering profitable work instead of being idle, unproductive and hopeless.
I love how Gordon treats them like normal people and doesn’t treat them like prisoners! I feel like they are working better because of how he treats them.
You can seriously see the happiness in their eyes and pride for what they're accomplishing when they served to the costumers. You can tell they felt the honor in finally doing something respectable. When I saw Hassan cutting his wellington then getting complimented, you can see later in the background how giddy he was afterwards such as patting David on the back and smiling like crazy.
Can we talk about how incredible it is that they were able to produce perfectly cooked Wellingtons? That is difficult. Of course it speaks to Gordon's teaching but honestly massive respect to the chefs.
@S B A lot of it is because they overcomplicate it. Cooking is usually simply just doing exactly what each step (if you're following a recipie or directives) says. If you just do what each step says and dont think about it then the result will come out how its supposed to come out. When you make your own dishes and try to elevate recipies is when cooking gets more difficult.
I can't believe they got the wellingtons perfect. That lunch service was super impressive. It definitely raised my opinion of the skill & professionalism of these men.
wow really admire Gordon's humility in admitting he's struggling and that he overreacted. that's rare to see displayed by TV personalities and just in general so big love for that!!♡
I want to point out how amazing it is that Gordon stood up for the inmate not receiving a shower. He went to the officers and dealt with the issue, the fact he advocates for them I think deep down meant a lot to the inmates.
Totally, it's just something so basic and the officers taking that from them, that's heartbreaking to me. He just wanted to take a shower to go to work properly.
That damn prisoner thinks he's such a superstar, he even wanted to shower! Imagine he starts demanding a gallon of water and basic toiletry next! Those guards are on such a power trip to be viewing them like that.
They treat them like this on purpose so that when they are finally free they end up right back in prison. They need to constantly feed the system because it’s a money maker.
The fact the Gorgon is so real and true with people means that he does not try and hold any stigma or bias against anyone, listening to both the guard's and prisoner's side of the story and trying to find a middle ground for them.
Gordon's by far my favorite celebrity. He humbled himself in a prison and managed to empathize with the people there. He has such a good heart. I hope more people are like him in the future. He uses his Fame and his popularity to actually stand up for people that our less fortunate. I genuinely used to take him at face value and assumed immediately that he was just a rude Chef that was egotistical but I've found out it's quite the opposite. He's just passionate about what he does and wants the best for the people that are learning from him. Thank you Gordon everything you do
"I think if you told me a rapist just made my sandwich, I don't think I'd eat It" well that's fair but not all of these guys are rapists and some just get banged up for being daft, the reality is any resturant you go to could have a rapist making your food and you'd never know.

Gordon Ramsay is a great example of the human will shining through and being able to make change through something he believes in. He showed it and helped all these men show it to the rest of the world and probably for themselves, this is beautiful.
That one is my favorite episode. It took a lot of guts to work with prisoners and convince everyone that they could be trusted. The inmates deserved that chance. Thank you Gordon
I know people usually praise Gordon for his cooking but mehn his skill as an Orator and Voice over artist is completely first class. I absolutely love this side of him.
The prisoners appearance get better throughout the episodes. Really shows how their confidence is growing like their cooking. Chef Ramsey is not only a chef but a therapist!
I mean yeah, but most criminals do. The majority are junkies, they usually are in pretty bad health coming there. Then you get good and plenty food, a good schedule, regular exercise and no drugs and everyone gets much better over time. Not that this doesn't help them, but getting healthier is common in prison.
Cooking is a way to express yourself. When I got into cooking inspired by my mother's potential and talent, also learning languages push you to be interested in their culture too. So when I cook, I have the opportunity to think clear and focus, which turns out to be a wonderful therapy
He is True I agree with him Prison doesnt change people People get out and do crimes again I think things like Gordon does change ,something for them to Focus ,show them they can earn, not steal,

It’s so good to see them trying to reform these men. My grandfather was in prison for 27 years because of bank robberies because he had a rough childhood and went into military training and suffered with a lot of trauma from it.He had an attitude with the guards and was once beaten so bad he was close to death and was left for three days. He didn’t have any teeth once he was out of prison and once he finally got out he got his life together and was such a caring person. I remember him so fondly and miss him and feel so bad that he had such a hard life, so it’s nice to see that he’s trying to help these prisoners because they haven’t had any other opportunities to prove themselves.
That’s the thing, he got his life together - that’s the entire difference. That’s why you grew up admiring him. It just proves that better late than never is not just a saying. I’m so glad he broke the cycle and raised a good family. ❤️
seriously. even as someone who has only ever had bad experiences with people who were in prison (family, specifically) it doesnt change that theyre people capable of change and DESERVING of reformation. prisoners are people deserving of fair treatment; the point of prison is retribution and rehabilitation, not torture.
I love how Gordon wants to know about the things bothering his chefs because he truly cares. Also just loving the attitude that these people have built up, and when people decide to backlash against gordon or gee the other prisoners stand up for them
If Gordon dies, I will cry legitimate tears. I don’t want this living legend to ever cease to exist. This man has idol qualities. Someone said it’s hard to remember they’re prisoners. But I think it’s actually that you’re being reminded that they’re still human. Prison is supposed to be about reform, so I really like what Gordon is doing here. He has a big heart honestly. He’s equipping them with skills to give them a chance at life when they leave prison and not feel like they need to fall back into the same habits. But there’s so much more that needs to change in and out side prison.
Prison is NOT supposed to be about reform...that's a pie in the sky virtue signaling crock of poopoo. Prison is about punishment and protecting law abiding citizens from those who can't discipline themselves to respect others and their property. Stop with the coddling of those who have harmed others and want to harm others. Prison should be so bad, that you never, ever want to go back again.
The best way to put it is: remember they’re human, but they’ve also hurt other humans. “Breaking the law” doesn’t matter to me as much as the fact that they did something to be put in prison and treated this way, but the people they hurt were innocent.
@@marialiyubman Also you have to remember that not everyone inside has caused pain to others. Drug users and most dealers are a great example. We are putting dealers in jail for selling something that many people need or want, but alcohol and tobacco is perfectly fine
He is equipping them for the new privatized prisoner UK food markets. All the employees work for nothing and investors make all the money. Good opportunity really only exists for the people on this show pretty much.
@@marialiyubman not always the case, remember people go to prison for stupid shit sometimes. Sometimes even innocent people. it’s not right to generalise all prisoners. some of them broke the law. some of them hurt innocent people.

Gordon seems to be all-in-one- Therapist, good listener, motivator and whatnot. We all need a bit of a push time to time to understand what we actually are capable of. He will squeez it out of anyone XD
As he said on "hot ones, first we feast" The more you get pushed, the thicker your skin, the thicker your skin, the higher you go. (Something along those lines) He is a prime example of what hard work can do. He grew up with shit all around him and he rose above that shit.
Y’know, even if this plan doesn’t work in the long run as a business, it still is changing lives for the better by teaching people life skills that could help them do something else when they get out of prison- the biggest one, I think, being teamwork
Prison doesn't fix these broken men, Gordon's working with them, showing them that they are not scum and showing them that they can make a difference. I hope that when they get out they put their skills to use.
...”broken men”? They did something wrong and got caught. They might be sad but they should be. I wonder how many people were sad because a friend or family member overdosed because they were sold drugs. Or were robbed. This is crazy. I work at a High security prison in Australia with 1200 inmates. We have a full working kitchen with 2 groups of 40 prisoners rotating work days. We have trades like a Woodshop, Metalshop and a Taylor Shop. We build building materials like doors, cattle grids. We reupholster couches for hotels. We have a laundry that washes Linnen for bed and breakfasts. We have a landscape crew that keeps the grounds tidy. All in total we employ approximately 400 prisoners that get a wage ranging between $1.80 to $3.80 an hour.
As someone who has been working in the food service industry for 20 years, I’d like to thank you guys for showcasing just how much work goes on behind the scenes. Oftentimes, people don’t realize that their food doesn’t just magically appear.
Fantastic how he tells his brigade that their sandwiches and pies have to be better than the competition. Letting these guys know that there will be no pity 4th place medal because they are inmates; they need to be as good or better than pro kitchens. That small phrase sums up what his intentions are for their future life after prison, and also shows his respect.
This is a brilliant idea Gordon came up with that can actually put these guys on a good path. That when these guys get out they would already have the skills and work ethic to go straight into a job. And don't let it be limited to only cooking but other skills like automotive technology, plumbing, art and craft etc. Watching this made me happy. I really hope that this business grows and be very successful 👍🏿 👍🏿

I absolutely love how excited and passionate some of these guys become about their cooking, it's quite inspiring
Can we talk about how incredible it is that they were able to produce perfectly cooked Wellingtons? That is difficult. Of course it speaks to Gordon's teaching but honestly massive respect to the chefs.
Yeah the chefs on Hell’s Kitchen always mess up the scallops and beef Wellington so these inmates must be good cooks for sure!!

Honestly, this series has made me respect Gordon so much more, hats off to him- he’s amazing and knows how to handle people
Good job Gordon. Gives these men a positive outlook when they get out. A gold to set in life. All prisons need something like this.
Right? Imagine wanting to shower after working for hours in a hot kitchen, what a diva 🙄
Imagine not getting the basic human needs…
“HOW DARE YOU FUCKING ASK ME FOR A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT YOU POS”
They treat them like this on purpose so that when they are finally free they end up right back in prison. They need to constantly feed the system because it’s a money maker.
My first thought was that it's a hygiene issue to be working with food. They definitely should have been getting showers.
Thank you Gordon everything you do
"Gordon Said, If I Fuck this up, I better escape prison before he catches me" Glad to see hes comfortable enough to get that top tier banter out.
"I think if you told me a rapist just made my sandwich, I don't think I'd eat It" well that's fair but not all of these guys are rapists and some just get banged up for being daft, the reality is any resturant you go to could have a rapist making your food and you'd never know.
Yes, but it's a higher chance the food you're getting from actual prisoners would be made by a rapist

This is crazy. I work at a High security prison in Australia with 1200 inmates. We have a full working kitchen with 2 groups of 40 prisoners rotating work days.
