In this case, I didn't relax on the farm at all. I had a specific schedule to get back to Mae Sot in four days. I had to be back by the day my visa expired. So I was under the gun. I only spent one night at this farm stay. The whole return trip was four relatively easy days of riding: 1. Chiang Dao to Pai 2. Pai to Mae Hong Son 3. Mae Hong Son to Mae Sariang 4. Mae Sariang to Mae Sot And I spent just one night in each town on this return trip.
Such a nice video, Doug --just what I needed! That bungalow with garden was ideal for a coffee and breakfast (too bad no food). Safe travels...looking forward to your trip back to Masot. .
Interesting to see if your visa gets extended as required, because they have announced that the Malaysian border including the land borders with Thailand are expected to be opened from April 1st? Your ok Doug, the order for COVID-19 extensions extended until May 24th!
I paid 400 baht for one night, which is about $14 US. I booked the bungalow through Agoda. This place is called Farmstay@Pai. They called my small bungalow a Garden Hut. They also have somewhat nicer and larger places called Garden Cottages for 460 baht. And then they have their largest places, the Garden View Family, for around 850 baht.
I missed this comment. Sorry. And it was ten days ago. I hope you are well on the way to recovery if not already fully recovered. When you get tested and it tests positive for covid, do you actually learn which variant you contracted? I just realized I've never heard anyone talk about that. I imagine standard store-bought testing kits wouldn't be able to identify the actual variant. But do professional tests at the hospital inform you of the exact variant?
@@PlanetDoug it’s more treated like flu nowadays, no it doesn’t tell which variant, (I didn’t go for that route and they didn’t bother) but I think it’s Omicron BA.2 which is a dominated variant. Already recovered without any medicine.
That's true. It had been a while since I had visited your UA-cam channel, but after I ran into you, I checked out your latest videos. Unfortunately, of course, I can't understand most of what you are saying. I only get the little bits here and there when you switch to English. 🙂 Just now, I watched the video called "Lagare Kahit Linggo | JegsTV". Wow. You put a lot of work into that video to document your day. I enjoyed it.
Summer thunderstorm
I can see you stay there for weeks !!
Cheers
How much time did you spend on the road, and how much time did you spend relaxing on the farm?

How much did you pay for that small bungalow?
It would be nice to know the room rate for each place Doug stay. Useful to know.
9 to 13 bucks according to google.
