Got mine yesterday. The HDR10+ makes the picture look so much better! I can't get over how greatly the picture improved. I upgraded from the 2017 apple tv 4k.
Same, upgraded from original and it is a great upgrade. You don’t want it alway on HDR since it’ll push your tv to upscale stuff that isn’t made for that and it could look not as good as it just being the original content and always on can push your tv and have it go out faster.
I bought two Apple TV 4K, but I haven't been able to download any application for two months because both devices keep saying that I can't connect to the App Store (Apple can't help with that). I recommend other products like the NVIDIA Shield.
I just get the Apple TV 4K 2022 and your video is extremely helpful. I also have Samsung TV (QN90A). What should my picture settings on the TV be, so the picture mode adapts to the content that the Apple TV sends it?
Just what i needed to see, do you really needed a high memory 128Gb if you just streaming netflix hulu or Disney? i recently got my QN90A tizen but anyway i get the 128gb w/ ethernet,

Hi My TV not supported Dolby vision. If I play with a separate device that supports Dolby vision, then can I get the picture quality for Dolby vision in 4K TV ...?? Please reply
@@MyGadgetsWorld Sorry my supportsTV HDR10Pro & HLG Pro. This means I have to buy a Dolby vision supported TV?? There is no point in buying a separate device?
Okay, here’s a question, what happens if you’ve got a Panasonic TV because Panasonic is the only manufacturer I can think of that runs both HDR 10+ and DV, does DV take precedent?
Wait, so it converts Dolby Vision content to HDR10+? Are you sure that is the case or is it just playing regular HDR10 but in an HDR10+ container? I don't think there has ever been DV to HDR10+ conversion before.
I have tested many titles on iTunes and mostly with DV are being played in HdR10+. Only few movies with DV just played in HDR like Spider-man far from home. I made another video earlier showing that on Samsung TV Apple TV app.
@@MyGadgetsWorld oh wow that makes the Apple TV an instant buy for me! Have you tested DV content in other apps like Netflix and HBOMax? Do they also show up as HDR10+?
@@aadithshameel7324 I have a SAMSUNG S95B, so I booked this new AppleTV and got hands on it from Day 1, I can tell that Netflix DV content is still in standard HDR mode. But most of the HDR content from AppleTV+ and Amazon are now in HDR10+
It seems like Apple Tv content was created in both Dolby Vision and HDR 10+. With the new OS updates and Apple TVs they are now playing HDR10+ which would be native to the files and not conversion. Don’t think there is any conversion going on. I have Samsung Tvs, very happy to see these updates.
@@MyGadgetsWorld Have you tested it on other apps like Netflix? I've seen it say it works on Amazon Prime video and itunes, but what about all other apps?
@@zongyusu Yes, that is true. However, it is the Apple 4K tv that transforms Dolby Vision it to HDR10+ in Amazon and Apple TV for any shows that are natively in Dolby Vision. The question will App 4k tv do that on Netflix, Vudu, Dis+, etc?
@@JayJay-jx3zg Well that's a good point, but in terms of Netflix/Disney+ as well as platforms that does not originally support HDR10+, the video format will still be in HDR10, I have confirmed this on my S95B, so the Apple TV 4K 2022 will not transform videos from non HDR10+ support apps
I tried following the 4K SDR and match content and frame rate but for some reason, anything that is HDR or Dolby vision or should be hdr 10+ or is showing as standard on the Samsung tv quick settings . Is there something that I didn’t do properly?

Very irritated Apple released this new version. I bought the one from last year and never expected another new release so soon. They must have had a ton of extra chips laying around last year for that model. This new one was the REAL upgrade from gen 1. I have two gen 2’s in the bedrooms and a gen 1 in the living room. A good excuse to get the new one for the living room specifically I guess.

What's wrong with just leaving everything in HDR10+?

Is switching apps faster? Are games better? Does video load more quickly?
Yes. It does everything significantly faster than Gen 2. I will have a another video in more depth comparing both.

Yes your TV has to either support Dolby Vision or HDR10+ to get advantage of the best picture quality.

Your TV can either support HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. Not sure if it can do both at the same time in any TV model.
Dolby vision is best. But if you have Samsung tv, you can only have hdr10+
Some tvs do both, and some content is only in hdr10+. But leave it set to Dolby vision.
