16:04 : "New Text Layer"
This is why you gotta stop editing past 2 AM.
Was just about to comment that mistake
Who else came down to the comments just because of this?
CURSE YOU NEW TEXT LAYER
why must you torment me
Impending running gag?
I am become New Text Layer, destroyer of videos.
Arctic Dragon instead of Arctic Panther, since you got the MSI dragon on your graphics card facing out.
made the same suggestion also. 😊
Agreed!
Dragons wouldnt inhabit the arctic circle so that makes even less sense.
@@Marin3r101 a white dragon would DnD ftw
@@Marin3r101 Arctic Wyvern?
9:48 Manly Paul has entered the building...
My girl after no nut November: "What could go wrong?"
Me: 4:20
This is the most I've laughed in a while
Do you use the dustpan method too? 🤔😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
paul your like a dad to me, but if my dad recommended SLI in 2019 i'd call child protective services.
"Its an enthusiast thing." -Jayztwocents 😊
Ok weeb
About this... I've seen Jay's video on SLI, but nowhere does it mention using an older generation card and add another one to lengthen the lifespan a year or 2.
Having a 1080Ti I want to know, because a 2080ti is just not going to happen with these prices. Usecase would be VR and thus 2x 90FPS goal.
@@Trancefreakeh From experience I would say it highly depends on what games you want to play and whether they support sli. I found that there was less and less games supporting sli and therefore gave it up and got a 2080ti. This was coming from sli gtx 970. It's a pretty shitty feeling when one of your cards is just sitting there doing nothing.
@@prophecy66 Sounds fair enough, really. There's just so much life in a 1080ti.
That transition to a bearded Paul caught me off guard
Same.
To be fair... I didn’t even notice...
lol so used to seeing the beard i didnt even notice till u scratched it. man didnt even realize u was working on that for that long that u grew that manly epic beard GG. wish i could grow one but i have an ungodly bald patch under my chin. XD
Slide all the combs into the cable management area instead of cutting them off. Then you can use them in the future and bonus it might make the bottom part look better. If not they typically slide all the way to the connector just fine.
16:01 New Text Layer... Nice.
The most subtle "that's what she said" joke I've seen in any pc build video.
Oh Joy, we get to hear Paul's stomach rumbling again. :D Well, that's what it sounds like to me.
Awesome build!
Hoping for a 3950x this holiday season so I might be able to do something like this as well!
Honestly I’m really really loving the way this thing is coming together. Take your time and make sure you get an end result you’re ecstatic about. Great job Paul.
Custom cables not from CableMod? Sacrilege.
JK. Competition is good.
Ensourced FTW. Those that know... know
Singularity makes the custom cables themselves for this case.
Put some shiny metal shroud or something in front of the psu. And honestly you should find metal combs that are the same size as the acrylic ones you have in the case so they stand out more and fit in with the rest of the build.
I really like how the scene looks after the time skip. It has a nice look!
The QDC on the distro block is a good idea, though it looks to be sticking out quite a ways, and I'd worry that it could get knocked somehow and cause the block to break. Maybe a short swivel 90 would keep it tucked in closer. Just a thought.
It looks really good so far Paul. I really like the cable management in that case. Keeps everything looking super clean and tidy, and lets you show off the main components without distraction.
And wow! I though my beard can grow quickly, but you've got me beat! o7
Instead of dealing with magnetized or non magnetized phillips screws I have replaced all my screws with hex (allen key) style screws. Not only does it give it a more unique look, they also stay on the bit way easier. They also don't strip. Win-win.
Happy to see you following up on your held projects. Great job and and have a good holiday
Glass tubing Paul would finish the system off just nice
Putting those cables in cable canals is so OCD satisfying 😍
Paul this is looking awesome! Could you maybe peel away / cover up the ugly white label on the back side of the PSU?
looking awesome so far. looking fwd to seeing it finished
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that older EK Supremacy CPU block doesn't cover the chiplets completely. EK has a larger block that fits the 39xx better.
I personally sleeve all my cables on my power supplies. It is seriously THE MOST ANNOYING thing ever that they split the 24 pin at the psu side.
Love your videos Paul, you really helped me build my first PC. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
You can get phillips screw starters from several places and they will even work on plastic screws of all sizes. Just Google phillips screw starter and pick your choice.
This is awesome. A perfect way to start my sunday. Cup of coffee and a sweet pc build. Low key, chill. Loving it paul.
should be arctic dragon :)
no feed back needed it is gonna look mega real huge fan of those cable routes on the back the case some machine that pal worthy of all the thoughts its gotten from ya all the thoughts lol
Hey Paul looking Great! I got my Pauls Hardware coffee Mug today, enjoying some good coffee in my New Mug Great Item! Love the Videos and all the helpful advice you give.
1:52 Do I spy a Spyderco Tenacious? A well cultured man indeed who opens his PC build parts with a Spyderco!
don't snip off the combs. you can just push / slide them down towards the PSU end.
Great Build Paul... Wanting you to finish it!
I used an AX1600i in my Spectre and it got REALLY tight in there with all of the cables.
Knowing you mixed black and silver screws makes my OCD scream out in agony.
A spot of Blu Tack on non magnetised screw heads Paul
It's looking great! Nice one man *^^*
This is basically the build I want to make if I had enough $$$ XD
Very excited to see how it all comes together for you
If you call it arctic panther. I really would love too see the MSI dragons on the gpus sanded down and being replaced by an actual black panther. Would probably look gorgeous
Well Paul I would recommend frosted tubes if your gonna use color liquid.
Hey Paul, great build. Sample a harp, it gives you that "time travel" vibe.
He is the only other one on UA-cam besides me to use those awsome msi cards
you are so patient with those cables...+rep
This thing is a monster! 👹
Funny you should upload this today, I just got my own spectre today, albeit after waiting 8 months for it. Gonna install components tomorrow, including a threadripper 1920x and an rtx 2080, paired with 32 gigs of trident z royals. After that, I gotta wait for my tube bending kit and my ek leak tester. I woulda had those sooner, but I had originally planned to do all my corners with fittings, but ek discontinued one of the fittings I was gonna use. :/
I've always wondered what happens to all these builds when you're done?
P.s. Paul, just to Irk the viewers asking you to give them Artic Panther III, you should give it to Hannah as 1st Christmas present, I'm sure she will share with you
did you see how many Whinging comments Jay got because the Little Jay build was too good for a kid, I think Little Jay Deserved it as she worked hard at school & also worked hard building it, they had so many problems & she just kept persisting
Put a drop of crazy glue on a piece of trash and then dip your screwdriver in it and immediately put the stainless screw on it , wait a second and then thread it into the riser , when it's started a little just wiggle the handle to break the bond . Sometimes Vaseline works too but it's a dust magnet later .
Legendary beard transition
looks awesome dood. I need to get the rest of my parts from corsair so i can complete my loop build.
Speaking of thought put into a build. I didn't do enough. 2 SATA data connections on the motherboard. 7 bays for drives in the case. How can I make that work without replacing the the motherboard?
Hey Paul! I'm doing a very similar build. I had a tough time adjusting the front radiator. I use 54 mm thick Corsair radiators, similar to the ones you're using. Firstly, to match the height of the distroplates in- and outtake I had to lower the radiator to the point where it rubs against the side panel mounting thing at the bottom and none of the radiator mounting holes lines up. I had to drill new holes for the radiator and remove the side panel mounting bar. I can see that your radiator is pretty close to the bar as well, are you not worried it will carry vibrations to the distro and potentially lead to cracking? I am... Did you have to drill new holes for the radiator?
Hell yea Paul id keep it too lol.
Cant wait to see how it turns out and see how it runs games
Awesome upgrade!!!
Put freezing cold water for the coolant
Are Ensourced going to be selling the shorty adapters at all? They would make my build so much better.
Was wondering if you could make a vid on a $1500 gaming pc for AMD kinda have some things I know I want but want to see if I’m really spending my money in the right places if you could would appreciate it 😄
Thanks to sponsors of these channels.
why not slide the cable combs to towards the psu or motherboard instead of cutting them?
Paul has more arm hair than my "beard" could ever manage.
It would have been awesome if he had the asrock water cooled motherboard
Why is the 2080ti waterblock that weird shape. There are other blocks that look normal but that terminal on the cards looks weird
just push the combs all the way toward the psu end
very nice build. excellent
ive got a few questions: to what extend are you planning to cool the cpu via your awesome waterloop, when will gtx 2080 ti`s be archievable to buy and what are the overall costs of the build, inclusive the last questions.
Ya can get one abiut at 1- 1.1k if ya watch sales and theirs no way for him to know that XD. He gets told id theirs a price drop, they dont tell people that in advance
so much effort was put in to this build even the beard grew faster :D
'Bout damn time you started back on this Spectre build... I have the same mobo and case.
Thanks a lot for your videos much wow much brains 🧠
I hope you if can complete it in 2020 😜
Paul can I please get a Link or Brand/ Model of that PSU tester did not see it listed in your links below section. Thank you !!
you should make a sticker that goes on the graphics card over the silver part that has a panther instead of the dragon
Corsair PSUs are great but the cables in the famous Corsair bag are terrible! In the same time I love the PSU and I hate the cables. This is known as "The Curse of Corsair" :D
Is it almost done?! Good. Now take it apart and spray paint everything white cause no panthers in the arctic are black....well no panthers period lol
The panther growl sounds like my apartment's kitchen sink drain.
Yeah....I think you should have used an AIO cooler and stock cables....lol.....so much time on this build, I can only imagine if something goes wrong.
Yoy will finish right on time for new cpus and gpus to hit us
Where can I find that ruler
damn it Paul.. ya shaved!!! such a slacker !!
The screwdriver was magnetic, the screw was ferrous.
What! No scooby doo transition!
It's beautiful
I'm waiting for forged carbon to make its way into the PC aesthetics world.
@Gareth Tucker Well, you could use it for hard line tubes but I still think carbon is a bad choice for water loops though. I was thinking more for back plate covers, pump housings water block covers etc. Purely as an aesthetic thing. As for getting custom work done? Well, simple things I or almost anyone who knows composite materials could make simple parts at home and for more complex parts that would require injection moulding, that would be cost prohibitive unless batches were produced.
9:00 what is the name of this demon
Start of an epic beard will it stick?
4:23 - when you need to pee but its more than you expected.
Paul: "The hole is too big for my hose, I need an adapter."
My Corsair 860i has coil wine when my PC is off.
Tis very annoying.
When I hear "16 cores" I can also hear Tim Allen grunting.
You could just magnetize the screwdriver...
I'm shocked that a $1,000+ case would come with subpar aluminium screws. Either include stainless, or titanium. Aluminum is for console n00bs.
new text layer lol @16:00
Nice!!
New text layer
Why only 2 sticks-o-ram?
Overclocking is a ton easier and better with only 2 sticks. That's why 99.9% of extreme overclocking mobos have only 2 slots. 👍
Shadow Panther.
Arctic implies white. 😉
New text layer.
So a phantom ultralight is what this is lol
You really don’t need magnetized screws, just use a Swiss Army knife, hopefully it will have a screwdriver.
nice beard trick
