fredo1070 this Tudor is inspired from a prototype of the Tudor Submariner with this position of the crown made in the 60’s for the US army. The SKX has been procuded only years later. In the 60’s Seiko was producing only the 62MAS and it was very different from the Submariner prototype of Tudor
I’ve had Tudor BB’s in the past and ended up getting rid along the way. Still, I don’t feel it’s fair to judge this piece without letting it hug your wrist. It’s a one of a kind, both feel as well as looks. I’ve found the one Tudor I want to keep for good. I hated it. Didn’t understand it or want to understand it. That’s until I walked into an AD and wore one. I couldn’t walk back out without it. Hope you yourself have had a chance to try one out. Maybe you should if you haven’t already.
I don't think they did that SKX to get this kind of publicity. I think somebody really thought it was gonna be a hit. They even teased about it in advance. Rolex's lineup also seems a bit sloppy for this show
It's a Swiss version of Seiko's 6309 for 10 times the price. So original NOT. If the Japanese were ripping off the Swiss design's there would be uproar, but hey the idiots will wait in line for 2years to get their hands on this.
I agree, terrible looking watch and all they seem to have done so far is this and increase their S&G offering. With gold capping it is never going to be popular. Rolex have not done a great deal either. Maybe done on purpose to give them a breather this year to allow supply ability to get a little closer to demand. Who knows - but the P01 is the least attractive watch I have seen in a long time.
I don't see a big demand for S&G in the US/EU market, guessing they must be selling in the UAE and Asian markets, so that's the uptick... hey, thanks for the episode idea! haha
Just Watch I think that is the plan. After all the market in Asia kept Tudor alive whilst Rolex banished the brand from Europe & North America. The P01 and the S&G models may look better in person. The black bay S&G looks better in person... There is a larger profit margin in Rolex precious metal watches so maybe the plan is to get people buying two tone Tudor and then hoping they would look to upgrade to solid gold links on the Rolex at a future point. There is always a plan and whatever it is it will most likely work for them.
Not that you care, won't be back. Worst review I have seen on UA-cam. Giving an opinion is one thing. Outright rudeness is another. Tudor took a chance. The same thing that everyone complains that no watch companies do; and they get this. Best of luck to you mate.
It’s funny, everyone complains that people who do watch reviews aren’t honest, now you complain that I’m sharing my honest opinion. Regardless, thanks for the feedback.
The Tudor SKX a nice homage but I already have the original.

@@lj9655 this comment as important and as correct it is meaningless to the underbellies.
Love it! Can't wait and going to wear it everyday.
Omega won Baselworld...By not attending
Champagne is flowing freely at Omega and Swatch Group tonight

Tudor exec 1: “Let’s rerelease an unwanted prototype from the past!”
Tudor exec 2 : 😂😂😂😂😂😶. “Wait... fuck it...lets do it!!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂
20-30 years down the road this will still be awful.
awful, yes, but rare af.
I like it , its different, plus the size and also low rating by the copycat fanboy contingent only add to its intrigue for me
This is a Seiko skx007 with DLW Watches Dual Time bezel modification. I already have it 😂
Why is it called SKX homage....?
Its design is based on rolex marine watch
oceanictime.blogspot.com/2012/01/rolex-us-marine-prototype.html
What an eyesore, it looks like bits and pieces of other watches have been jumbled together...
Mad Max inspired, that's what it reminds me of.

I hated it until my AD showed it to me. I went from hating it to wanting it!
This ugly watch looks like someone tried to mod his skx and everything went wrong! Lol
Maybe Tudor did this to validate the desire for the Black Bay.
Swatch gave the stage to Rolex and Tudor by not attending and Rolex and Tudor blew it!!!
Tudor code 11:59
So, you’re saying the SKX is ugly?!
Thems is fightin werds!
LOL
Definitely looks like an skx
Do not offend the SKX.
Looks like a very bad SKX mod.
Tudor Pelagos or .. Pass

It is Fugly! Lol!
I don't mind it
its military.
Rolex ref 1690 us marines prototype!!!
Jose Saavedra supposed to be a myth/fake - this ugly by Tudor release proves it existed!
Perhaps a fake model for trolling purposes?
I love Tudor but my god this looks like a last minute throw together of all watch bits lying around 👎

It’s WAY WAY too big. All the releases are ugly.
Imo they lost baselworld. But, you do make a good point. Cheers.
Ugly Seiko homage

Also, I wasn’t rude, I complimented Tudor for making it and taking a chance, hence, “Tudor just won Baselworld”. Lol
Yep it’s fugley all righty
Didn’t see this massive misstep coming. Such an odd decision. It’s f**king horrible.
