awesome video friend, and absolutely love your homestead, Iam a Wv neighbor here and been watching your videos for a good while now and always look forward watching ya on your kubota bx!!!
That was a shocker, t-shirt one day and then the white stuff 😳😂. Our white stuff is going down, it’s currently raining 👍🏻. Have a great weekend Lucas 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Well done! It's amazing what can be done with a small digger. I did the same thing for my ducks with my Harbor Freight towable backhoe and then used it to dig a bigger farm pond. We "homesteaders" can do anything we set our minds to.😄😉
Excuses excuses! We all want to play with a backhoe/trackhoe from time to time... or ALL the time. LOL. Good work. I'm sure the ducks appreciate your habitat rehabilitation efforts.
That is a nice duck setup! I really like how your pond seems to have a continuous flow always adding fresh water. It makes me miss having ducks. Great video Lucas!
Yeah, the runoff from the hill makes it nice. I don’t have to worry about it being sealed up too tight and it keeps the water from getting stagnant. Thanks for watching, Justin!
Pretty cool project for the BX! Ducks love it for sure. If water retention is a problem, that pond is small enough that a liner would be reasonable. Snow....WTactualH???? I see the DG across the street now....at least you'll not have far to go for milk, hamburger buns and Doritos! 🙃 Take care - B&D
Nice job Lucas, we thought about getting ducks for our pond but it’s so far away from everything else the coyotes would probably just eat them all. Sounds like you’re getting some of the weather we get up here😂
Yeah, I would like to have some ducks on my big pond, but they wouldn’t last a night. We have electric wire around their little sanctuary and it seems to work well.
I have the 12” bucket and I think it is a good size for my needs. I don’t think I would have a lot of use for a bigger bucket in my soil. I think the machine might struggle with that. A smaller one might have some uses, but I doubt I would even fool with changing one to use it, let alone buy another one…

Right on! I work in WV myself! I appreciate the support! 👍👊
Those BX loader backhoe tractors are a handy unit! Nice work on the pond repair! Trying to control and contain water is a challenge. Take care!
Absolutely! We are in a constant battle with runoff! Thanks for dropping by!

Then back up in the 70s two days later! Lol. Stay dry, my Friend! 👍

Thank you! It is a lot of fun to do projects like that! I really enjoy having the ducks and seeing them swim around. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, excuse to make a video and excuse to dig! 🚜 🦆
Good video. I like the LS George shirt👍
Oh yeah! Buenos Dias! Freedom 500 tomorrow night. Lol
Nice work, Lucas! It turned out the way you wanted it to and that's what counts. The ducks look happy :)
Thanks, David!

Lol. Yeah, now that the DG is there, I figure it will be handy, might as well look on the bright side. 😊👍
Love the Cleetus merch
Big Cleetus fans in this house! 👊
Awesome! Do you need to put the ducks away every night?
We don’t. I have had three strands of electric around them and haven’t had any issues in two years!

What size bucket is on your backhoe and would you recommend a different size?
