So much soul with the B3 sprinkled throughout and some chromatic runs as well. It made my foot tap, and that is step one. Then I closed my eyes and the sound got even better. It is my opinion that the removal of one sense tends to heighten the others and although you may be missing sight, the excess weighting given to the ear is exceptional. Splendid arrangement Gordon!
Dear Gordon, I just wanted to take a minute to let you know I am enjoying your message just as much as your music. You express yourself so well with the piano and also with your thoughtful words. I am not a chruchgoer but I do admire your dedication to your faith and your outlook on life. I look forward to your videos. Thanks......
Gordon. You continue to blow my mind. You dance the line between jazz, pop, R&B, soul, rock... so musically. This video is a master class on how to "step outside." You know exactly how to create something that sounds "expensive" and when to bring the listener back to something that sounds familiar. I was hanging on every phrase. Thank you so much for sharing your music.
The Lord chose you to have a wonderful gift that you've honed magnificently. Your fingers truly make a joyful noise when they touch the keys. I am in awe of your natural sense of rhythm. Thanks for the great video!
Will somebody make a film or TV series just to feature this music please? Gordon you never cease to amaze me. I thought you were going in one direction and then you seamlessly segued to a jazz funk music creation. Mercy. Keep preaching too.
There's a part of Herman melville's Moby Dick where he describes the rainbows sometimes seen in the mist above the moby's head as "heaven's seal upon his thoughts" I feel the same way of Gordon's playing, he is surely able to voice feelings few could put in words, I'm a proud member of the "homeschoolin family" and find both Tom and Gordon's music mystical and magnetic, many thanks to both of you, you are each a great credit and inspiration to us all, peace and love
Such great grooves Gordon. That was my grandad’s name. I’ve seen you many times in concert. You are such a joy to watch and hear. Your music is so on point and gets me emotionally as well as making me move. Love you brother. Thank you for blessing us with your channel. Picks me up every time I watch.
So awesome... I loved Dave Grusin's soundtrack to The Firm and this had the best elements of that score, plus the vibe of every great keys man ever... so innovative... so real. LOVED it.
Sweet Gordon, my bucket list set up. Grand piano, Fender Rhodes, Hammond B3 (I think you were on a C3, but what's the difference) Add a Hohner Clav, and a Mini Moog and we're good to go. Thanks to Uncle Larry for turning me on to Gordo PS, I posted that comment before I saw the end. BROTHER IN CHRIST!!!! Some day we will be jamming together worshipping ourLord Jesus! Can't wait for that Day to come
Gordon, thank you very much for an amazing experience! Please, could you ask the recording engineer from the Beech Creek Studios about Rhodes recording chain? I see there is a Radial J48 DI box going into Gordon mic pre, but there is some other stuff, so if they want to share with us, I will appreciate. Thank you again, and good luck on your journey!
Loved the jam, Gordon. I always wondered how they mic a piano in a studio. Looks like two mics for upper/lower register and a third for overall. When you produce, how do you like to record the different instruments and do you consider how you place them spatially in the mix?
that's FIVE gordons!

If I need a smile, I can come to listen to my brother Gordon. Appreciate the great vibe on this one. God bless you sir!
Gordon, you are one soulful and funky dude! I pray that I have the honor to meet you one day. Continue being a blessing and an inspiration.
