Thanks so much for these tips! I’m doing an Extended Essay for my TOK class and this even helped me with my language focused essay. Awesome video that makes great sense.
thanks roady lawson
I am writing my first Rhetorical Analysis, and I haven't taken College English composition since 2014, to prove my right to vote and I appreciate your outlines
Thank you!
Thank you so much! I'm taking AP lang right now and your videos have been tremendous help. Also, because of the time crunch in writing the RA essay, I was wondering if I should focus more on just trying to get my ideas out and analyzing the evidence rather than focusing on trying to make the essay flow and have good structure because my teacher has always marked me off for having confusing sentences and run on sentences.
Generally speaking, content is more important than style. However, it is important to have a clear progression of ideas (line of reasoning.)
Bless you
Love the tips! Learned more from this than the entire school year.
i have a rhetorical analysis essay in class tomorrow, pray for me
same
You're wonderful for making this clear & concise & friendly guide. Thanks much!
Thank you!
if your here for roady lawson, wasuuuuuppppp
I’m trying to help my daughter write a rhetorical analysis essay and this was so helpful!
Thank you!
Wow, thank you. Your comments and clear directions really helped understand what a rhetorical analysis is
These are amazing for me as I’m currently enrolled in Eng101. Thank you for such a descriptive instruction on rhetorical analysis. PATHOS LOGOS ETHOS !!! Haha.
Thank you for this!
As someone who's self studying AP Lang, I've watched this video through and took notes. It's really engaging and helped me understand how to write this essay. Thank you for making these, I'll be watching more of your vids to prepare for the exam :)
I can vouch for the outline. My prof said if you were to give somebody your outline they should be able to write the essay for you. I feel as if when I have my outline I write a stronger essay quicker.
why she out of breathe
Thanks for your concern. I was out of breath because I was pregnant when I recorded this, and I was dealing with health complications.
❌ pregnant
✅ full of tren (sam sulek)
** 7:07 - 8:39 **
It was helpful but I wonder why were you so tired 😅
Not sure what you’re referring to, but I recorded this while working 60+ hours a week in my third trimester of pregnancy, so maybe that was part of it?
Got it. I hope you didn't mind, I respect you. I just wanted to make you laugh 😅. You were really tired 😂
for 17:54, what if you phrase it as "Another point to consider is..." or "Another point to consider, though less impactful is..."
That would work! A chronological approach is ideal for RA, but if you’re doing a device-driven approach that phrasing would help create a transition.

Shoutout Mrs Greig!
Thank you sooo much
For the commentary, would this be a good setup: (Evidence). By incorporating this quotation, the speaker (action verb - warns, suggests, motivates, etc) the audience to ______.
Yes but then analyze why the speaker does that. Why is that effective for that audience on that occasion?
@@CoachHallWrites yes, I was planning on doing that in the last blank I have.
So if it was a speech about not drinking alcohol, I could say that the audience: is warned on the consumption of alcohol as it causes long term health issues like blood problems, etc. being that the audience is ____, the author explains this to make sure _____.
Looks like you have a good handle on it. Keep it up!
You are supposed to be specific tho and name the writer as well as the audience. It is too universal otherwise.
Holy cow this is great information
Thank you!
Your videos have been helping me a ton! As someone who is just now starting to prepare for the test, I've been having *a lot* of difficulty with time management, but the way you explain things really simplifies the tasks into being somewhat manageable. I've been a little less jumbled and panicked since I know what to focus on. Thank you! :)
Thanks for watching! Glad it’s helpful.
