I love this movie and it's sad that mainstream Hollywood seems scared to make comedies in general today because 10 people on Twitter met be offended. Like you said, I think the Hot Shot movies and Naked Gun movies are better, but this is an underrated gem for sure.

I love this movie! You can thank so-called "writers" Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer for those lame parodies that came out and pretty much "killed" parody movies.
I think that, if done correctly, the parody movie genre can make a comeback imho. 😊
