I found the hot wire to switch to ground and spliced in my piece of drop cord to go through flexible conduit to the emergency switch box. Tried it and it FAILED! Howdy Elias, for this generation of GM trucks it’s called Passlock.
This is an example of the module. It may not be correct for your application.

Bless’ns on your project, Tedd
I’m going to stick to gas ⛽️ engines when/if I have to replace my truck.
I don’t blame you Joe. The newer diesels can be very costly when the major maintenance bills come along. Today’s gas pickups are pretty efficient and reliable too.
Bless’ns! Tedd
Nice going
Oh my gosh! Tricky
Howdy Earthbros, it was indeed.
The truck is old enough that I would prefer to have the anti theft system omitted. Fortunately we had a used unit on hand.
Bless’ns to ya, Tedd
Where are you located?
S.W. Michigan. How about yourself?
👍🏽🍻
My suburban shuts off randomly, it's driving me crazy
Could you please come in contact with me. Im begging
Sorry, it’s been a busy day!
Yes, security module is located under the center of the dashboard.
Problem is, the only way I could see to access it was to pull the dash out completely.
Once you gain access, it’s simply plug and play. They just made it extremely difficult tamper with.
You will want to rule everything else out before you go tearing into it.
You would be furious to swap the module only to find out the PMD is bad on your pump.
Best of success to ya, Tedd
