Carlton have so much heart right now, the culture at the club is so strong, amazing stuff to see them have some success
So good being there.
Thought we were done, down by 9 points, Motlop goal got us back in.
Unbelievable finish, I was hugging a bloke next to me I didn't know, just an amazing night.
Bring on '24
Go baggers.
What a game of footy credit to carlton baggers are gonna be flaggers and Walsh what a game
What are Melbourne fans going to whinge about now?
Congratulations Carlton and Carlton fans. 😀
Fck yeah Carlton
Who could've imagined this after Round 13? Incredible stuff.
actually? a carbon copy of the Western bulldogs season that won their last 6 or so games to sneak into 7th.. then to go undefeated in the finals to win the flag.. so? i imagine it happens every 7 or 8 years or so..
@@kotchstevens2321not even close, 2016 dogs were in the 8 literally the whole year and stiff to miss out on top 4. They were never in a slump as bad as carlton, this team was in the bottom four with everyone looking to offload voss

I hate Carlton, but seeing their season turnaround and then their finals performances, I've watched this more times than I care to admit 😅
I’m a Collingwood supporter and I got caught up barracking for Carlton, I know I’ve made my psych appt for Monday morning, that last goal blew the roof off the G, good on em

This win meant so much to me as a 29yr old supporter that has never seen the blues get to a prelim! And the way the we got to the finals was just unbelievable! Coming from nowhere at round 13 and then having to win almost every game for the rest of the year to make finals! It just felt like we were unstoppable!!
@pcorf I actually don't remember the finals in 2000 I was 6. Also the 1999 grand final I was 5.
Just watch this before work on a Friday morning from Vancouver British Columbia. Congratulations to Carlton. I’m so excited and happy for you.
Wow Vancouver! Would love to travel there some day. Are you a native or have you relocated?
@@spectralgaming3787 born in Vancouver lived here all of my life
Vancouver still holds the record for most fans at an AFL game outside of Australia. We’re very proud of that. Would love if they would come back again.
Say what you want but the whole play leading to the goal was just beautiful. Four consecutive marks! I just can't stop watching this.
And if Melbourne goaled in the last 30 seconds it wouldn't have been Acres fault.
@@hishers251 Good times! I remember them as well. Is it possible that they’re back?
WHAT A GAME!! I have completely lost my voice. GO BLUES!! 💙
@@MarkWhich wait and watch you’re going to look like a funny person after they play hard in the next game
The best Carlton game since the Carlton V Essendon 1999 Preliminary Final. Unreal
Fraser Brown's tackle in the last minute of the game is still tackle of the century.
Absolutely man and I was at that game but this one, after so long, it goes to number 1 for me
@Codewordthecerealkiller0 hahaha still a bit salty are we? From memory a d from being at the game Kouta was the only one who beat the umpires at their plan
I couldn’t believe it. Everyone standing and screaming at Acres goal. I was completely lost for words. Just couldn’t believe we did it.
The clown should of gone back and taken 20 seconds of the clock, he gave Melbourne another chance
no way mate couldn't have risked missing the set shot can u imagine the pressure ?@@Redcouriercat
Man as a Bombers fan I’m glad the Blues are doing well but it just feels like I’ll never get to experience something like this 😓
Mate given where we were 6 years ago, you'll get to see it, keep the faith
Bro, that takes alot of balls to say. As a bagger,, we obviously aren't fans of each h others side,, but I feel your pain. It makes me say,, go bombers...😢
If you want to promote this game to the world and show them why we love this game , just show the world this game . i am a geelong supporter but fuggin hell this had everything
Best game i have ever seen, and i am 50 year's old
Carlton you owe me my hospital fees from cardiac arrest - you’ve nearly killed me two weeks in a row
"Be sure to ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for a Carlton win.".
Congrats to Carlton, hope they do well next week. As a Melbourne supporter obviously disappointed however Melbourne only have themselves to blame, this atrocious goal kicking has been their biggest problem this year, so many games lost due to inaccuracy, and today on the big stage they let themselves down badly. This needs to be addressed going forward otherwise they may not play finals next year.
‘Going forward’ are redundant words. ’This needs to be addressed’ is sufficient.
Trust me mate Melbourne will still play Finals next year. Hell they will probably still make top 4. However just like this year and the one past they will find themselves out in either straight sets or week
@@bradschneider82 They're definitely not making the top 4 next season based on the huge strides Adelaide and the Giants are making.
@@bradschneider82 Yep the Daisy Dees are on the slide but still top 8 material.
This was easily one of the best games we’ve had in the past 10 years
The West Coast game against Port was a great one a few years ago. That went into overtime. Still, this has to be in the top 3 for me. I just hope they can make it one more step closer. That crowd was the largest in over 20 years or something like that for Carlton. Well deserved win for sure.
Youve gotta be kidding. That was a rubbish game for this time of year. Turnovers constantly followed by rubbish kicking. Panicked decision making from the first minute. Either team would be getting smashed by Brisbane regardless.
@@Spiral0utwell, let’s find out. Everyone said we wouldn’t make finals, then they said we’d lose to Sydney, then they said we’d get flogged by Melbourne, and now it’s the same for next week, so let’s see if you’re right this time, because you’re predictions have all been wrong so far

Acres is probably not going to wipe that smile off his face for the next 7 days. I am very sure.
Weitering -> Hollands -> Doc -> Acres will be written in stone and worshipped for generations.
well played blues, melbourne supporter here you guys played a good brand of footy and we just couldnt convert on the scoreboard. i really hope you guys make it to a granny and win
Crazy scenes. Melbourne out in straight sets 2 years in a row.
Due to poor skill against the score board! 17 Behinds is not something to be proud of.
Just watched this after work on a Friday evening from central New Jersey, USA. Kudos to Carlton.
On behalf of my pilot son who would have been there hovering over your heads well done Carlton ❤😂🎉😊
Collingwood supporter here, but can’t help smiling, that’s good footy, we’ll done blues.
Melbourne kicked themselves out of the game once again. The game will be more talked about how Melbourne lost it than how Carlton won it, they did everything right but couldn’t convert inside 50. Full credit goes to Carlton who looked hungrier for the win, knowing that it will be the first time in 40 odd years. A huge standout for Carlton was Motlop, from only being a substitute several weeks ago to being a shining star in the forward line of Carlton as a small forward.
How in the world have they been so inefficient inside 50 the last two seasons when efficiency was one of their greatest strengths during their 2021 Premiership winning season.
where this 40 odd comes from?? and Motlop was sub last week yes but has played 20 games this year.
Melbourne threw the game away, they should have won by 5 goals. Not just the 17 points, Vineys shanked kick in the last minute, Gawn touching a Melbourne goal on the goal line, and Pickett giving away 2x 50 metres, and missing 2 set shots he would normally take.
Carlton was super lucky, and didnt really deserve to win.
Was trying not to freak out after watching the last two minutes this morning neighbors were still sleeping in new York City
The question now is, will you be able to keep your composure if we win next week? Haha
Carn the Blues!
Round 15 we were 15th! We have won 11 out of last 12 matches! All the commentary was welll you beat bottom 8 sides. We beat port ( oh they had injuries) we beat dees and pies and after that those doubters were quietened. Up the baggers!!!!!
Bloody hell! What a game! Looked like the whole suburb of Carlton turned up!!!! Can imagine how loud it would've been!
That was the best last 2 minutes I've seen. The crowd made it 1000x better
I know Gawn had the break in his foot which affected his kicking. How gutsy is Docherty after his shoulder popped out. Acres playing with a cracked Clavicle, Cripps broken rib and 5 wacks on the nose, Weeters with concussion and his hand injury all played so bravely. Hats off to the entire playing group. I can't wait to see what Walsh and co can do with an uninterrupted preseason. Let's keep it going Blues!
The Acres goal and siren were the loudest roars I've heard in 800+ games attended
I watch this everyday just to get my day going💙💙💙💙
I am no longer worthy to be a Richmond supporter. When Carlton hit the front in the last minute I cheered loudly and felt a lot of joy. When I realised what I had done I asked God to forgive me. I don't expect Richmond supporters to forgive me for I have committed a unforgivable act that Tigerland can never forgive.

Gawn with the all-time great defensive act for the Blues. 😅
Imagine spoiling a team-mate’s goal that would have sealed it.
In fairness to Gawn I think he may have had the mind set that the 2 Carlton defenders were in a position to touch the ball, I think he was trying to knock back into play to one of his team mates to have a second shot. Thats the only explaination I can come up with.
I remember saying there was no chance Carlton would make finals.

Haha, Melbourne should’ve focused on practicing their kicking instead of whinging about Maynard. Pickett is a dirty grub 🤢
Ikr, I'll bet Hamish Brayshaw will be scathing in his highly informed and relevant comments.
@@chadjohns6060 Incorrect, for Maynard to have been suspended would require meeting the threshold of proven prior intent which would require proving that he has the capabilities of clairvoyance for him to have known what would occur once he became airborne. The footage clearly shows that once Maynard was airborne, in a legitimate perfectly legal attempt to smother, the only person who was physically able to make any attempt to avoid the collision was Brayshaw himself who rather than deviating away from Maynard in fact deviated towards him as well as had the time to raise his own right shoulder. If Brayshaw had deviated to his left rather than his right, he would at most have suffered a glancing shoulder bump from Maynard. The premise that because someone suffers a concussion, someone else must be suspended is as asinine as prosecuting a vehicle manufacturer in instances of single vehicle collisions due to the absence of anyone else to blame.
So-called 'experts' waffle on about a 'duty of care' without subjecting Brayshaw to that very same standard. There's a compelling and indeed entirely relevant reason why Brayshaw wears the headgear he does and that is because his playing history has proven that he is highly susceptible to concussions, ergo; he shouldn't even be playing any form of contact sport. He refuses to exert a 'duty of care' upon himself yet expects others to enforce rules in a manner which accommodate his own well-known shortcomings in a manner which is disproportionately detrimental to anyone who happens to collide with him regardless of their intent. Players like Brayshaw are living in a false economy if they truly believe they should be given special treatment due to a proven susceptibility to concussion much less that they will have any type of actionable compensation claim against other parties when they begin to suffer the effects of CTE after choosing to continue to play the contact sports which have a proven causative link to these catastrophic symptoms. If and when Brayshaw attempts to do this, his case will be thrown out of court when he is shown a picture of himself playing football in a helmet and asked why he wore that. Simple as that.
The cameras actually shake upon the roar that met the final siren. Awesome
The roar..
