I bought a 6650 XT new for around $200 during Black Friday, basically because I wanted to push more frames for my 1080p 144hz monitor, and it's been great for that. Once AMD released the driver with frame gen, I'm now getting well over 144 fps in most games, even with settings cranked up, so it worked out nicely for me. E.g. - Forza Horizon 5 now runs 120-250+ fps for me with everything on Ultra and a few settings on Extreme. Frame gen also helps make up for the performance drop when ray tracing is enabled in games too. It cuts my frametime in half most of the time too. Too bad about the VRAM though.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be some kind of very slight but noticeable microstutter on the 3060 in many of the tests? I go back and check the frametime and graph though no spikes or dips seem to accompany them. 1% lows look steady, regardless of what their numbers are. I'm not noticing gaps in the stats, but I can't seem to unsee this weird micro-hitching for the 3060 the 6650xt on the other hand looks like it's not suffering it, regardless of avg or 1% and both seem frametime stable. Could it be some function of the Ryzen+RX combination?
Guys, I'm running a 5600x on a 450 mobo - with a 1050Ti 4GB on 4x8GB 3200 ram. Honestly... is it even worth me upgrading? Looking at these settings and frame rates... I'm not far off them now, so worried that £300+ would be wasted. My system is low-end - I know. Not sure if a GFX upgrade is actually worth it - based on the build. Nvme base drive, so nice and fast.
What games are you playing (and looking to play)? Also, are you comfortable buying used? I just picked up an RX 6700 XT 12GB from CEX for £270 (they can be had for cheaper but i needed 2x HDMI) and it beats my old 3060 12GB's a$$. If you're only playing e-sports, stick with the 1050 Ti for a bit longer. If you want to play newer games (last of us, alan wake 2 or cyberpunk) youll find that the 1050 Ti will struggle a lot. If you don't want to buy used, get an RX 6650 XT as they're readily available for about £230 new. If you're happy to buy used, get an RX 5700 XT as they can be had on ebay for about £160 used (£175 from CEX).
Even though the 6650xt does the same or better average fps the 3060 gets way better 0.1% and 1% lows which means way less stutters and smoother fps but this seems to only be the case in very rcent games, older ones run much better on the rx 6650xt
Yeah why do people buy it when its older brother 3060ti is soooo Good for 1080p any hertz and size Monitor , even for 27'" 120hz 1440p monitor , its quite good, i have used it for a short time !!! But ive since moved on to 308Ti Rtx , and also i recently got this Rx 6650xt Saphhire OC for my little brothers rig which was a bit on sale on Amazon. I cud have easily bought an Rx 6700xt used card from local seller for the new card prize but i never buy used PC hardwares ,so its all good !!! He plays mainly only esports anyway so, even he can use 2k monitor with ease with the games he played !!!
It’s not that bad if you’re willing to pay extra money and are a content creator but I personally would prefer an rx 6650 xt since it’s a better card but without the extra nvidia features

Same, 5700x and 6650xt. Full PC for about $550. Solid build for casual 1080p :D
the best cpu for that card is ryzen 5 5600x or an intel i5 12400f@@s4ndias
