I think the thing about Polo is that he's always been disregarded, the one who loves people too much, depends on people too much and is then let down by those people, has serious mental health issues/panic attacks and feels like the odd one out. I relate to Polo in the sense that he tries so hard to do the right thing, to keep the people he feels like he needs like air, but whatever he does, it's never right or enough. I feel like there is so much more to him than we've seen so far, so much inner complexity and struggles and fear and sadness in his character. I do believe him that he didn't want to kill Marina. Of course I am not excusing his actions whatsoever, but I think he isn't evil. Quite the opposite; evil people aren't capable of love, Polo loves too much for his own good.
i agree, polo is capable of loving, he just definitely has some major issues and i want to know how and why they developed. him killing marina was definitely an accident and during a rage episode. i hope they explore more of what goes on with him and that we see him get psychological help in future seasons
Depending on people too much is dangerous. I did. I counted on them for happiness, comfort, knowledge, and love. They barely talk to me now. And I can't find a substitue for them, it hurts. My mental health is still going down the drain. I told them I was very tired, and they all replied with "don't be". That didn't help one bit. One of them even called me strong. The mask I wore around them fooled them all, but it all backfired to me now. You only need yourself, in the end it's only you and nobody else. I am a weak person, so I rely on others very heavily. It's my fault. I wish I could do things on my own, but I can't. And they cannot see how weak I am as a human being.

Polo is my favorite character because he is a incredibly complex and tragic character. He didn’t mean to kill Marina and is suffering severe anxiety and regret from it. I hope Guzmán can ultimately forgive him.

Tbh I love him. I remember tearing up when he came after Samuel because I had a feeling it was him. I have this sudden urge to protect him from the world and from himself because he didn't go there with the intention to kill her but to get Carla back, and his mental conditions too. But I also think what had happened in season 2 will make it worst for him in season 3 because of the trigger Cayetanna gave him for a second chance. Idk. What I know is Alvaro played his character well and the writers too are amazing. I can't wait for season 3.

The scene where Carla is telling him he has to tell the police while kissing him/jerking him off still gives me chills. It's a perfect representation of what his character is and has been going through. He's so dependent on those around him and their approval so they have controlled him. Carla knows that's how she presses his buttons and controls him, even after they broke up she still used the same tactic so he tells the police while taking herself completely out of the equation. It's heartbreaking that when Polo finally realises how those around him control him (intentionally or unintentionally), and gets over Carla, he's too broken to be fixed. At that point yes he might not need those around him to depend on and he became stronger, but he has his entire subconscious against him for what he did to Marina💔
