Hey! Just wanted to point this out, at around 7 minutes what you were trying to do made sense, just the way you put that second hydraulic wouldn’t work because it should have been below the road, as that would have been your desired point of rotation.
Also I feel the hydraulics should have acted like the muscles in an arm 💪 the top one contracts while the bottom expands.. like the way metal deforms when bent at a right angle. Inside of the bend is always scrunched up while the outside is stretched thinner
I feel like 1% movement hydraulics was cheating the spirit of the competition. Maybe if you can keep your stress lower than his with 10% minimum movement. :P

im not an engineer (yet) and i have never really been upset at the way rce solves these puzzles but GOD i was yelling at the screen at rce trying all this shit that i know wont work.
Y'know there's such a thing in engineering as "linkages", that get all sorts of particular movements out of an arrangement of levers and whatnot. There's a bloke on UA-cam who does them in Lego Technic and they're genius. If you need a sort-of pivoting-lifting bridge that holds it's cargo flat the whole time, there's probably a couple of oddly-angled bits of stick you could put together to achieve that really elegantly.
I hope I'm not the only one yelling at the screen at 11:00, that building rope muscles and replacing the beams with reinforced road does literally nothing if they break because of geometry, not because of forces
11:03 using more ropes won't help, it's failing when it starts to go upside down because the ropes no longer do anything to support the weight. Tension becomes compression
