Remember the 959 Dakar and 953 Dakar. The 959 could be taken off-road, however I doubt many of the original owners of the first generation ever did. They ended up removing the active suspension system in the following 959s models I believe.
@@SiG-Popart That was still an SUV, in fact, it was originally supposed to become a military vehicle in the vein of the Humvee, which ironically GM pulled off the same thing with the Humvee into the Hummer

Rory just looks at cars for what they are without being bothered about which brand they are coming from. Thank you for another crazy yet honest review. We sure are going to miss that V10 and i cannot imagine what i will be going through the last time i get to drive one.
Amazing video, so sad that all the naturally aspirated goodness is coming to an end. I wonder whats faster between the sterrato and the 911 dakar on an offroad drag race..
@@atlegangletsoge6165 Sterrato most likely, there's a 100+bhp difference. The Dakar Is more of a sand dune / rock crawler, while the Sterrato Is made for a dirt road.
So glad you guys got to do a review of this thing stretching its legs and not around some sterile test track cut into a field. edit: Sadly none of the rich people who get these will barely use them on perfectly paved roads.
This video like many others of this nature had me completely immersed and lost in the spectacle and mastery of Rory's storytelling style of review....wow man you're incredible!
What an excelllent review. You, as always, manage to convey the spirit of a cars purpose, which is second best to driving one. Not an easy feat. Well done. Thanks for the effort.
I love what you said at 9:25 “As a daily” I live in the Midwest where we get all four seasons, Winter being the most disgusting and impactful. I do really believe this is a possible daily driver for folks who can afford it. It’s fast, awd, has the ground clearance, back up camera, and just enough trunk room for small groceries.
Rory this is one of the best reviews you've ever done. great car, great voice and great visuals. May i suggest a urus vs sterrato vs 4x4 porsche 911 vs tesla test.
This is definitely the best super car ever! Lamborghini didn’t add all those kit like a tent to the sterrato cus they know even if you can off-road and rally this, no one’s really going to take it camping lol and that’s why it doesn’t have so much storage cus it was built for the fun!
exactly this is a car you take to the beach or a quarry or mud track for fun, not an adventuring car. hell, it has worse mileage than a regular huracan
This is a car I wish I could own one day. Such a fun machine. Too bad these will skyrocket in value in 10 years and we'll never be able to buy one at MSRP or less again.
These offroad versions have rekindled my interest in supercars. Feels like this is the way forward with fast cars, and gone are the days of just posing outside with a fancy car that is too low to go anywhere.
I'm not convinced this is the end of NA engines like the manufacturers keep saying, given the massive progress being made with sustainable fuels. Even if these engines disappear, I'm really thinking there is a good chance they might make a comeback.
Yeah, they keep saying this but then the next model comes out with a more efficient NA engine AND electric torque to go even faster or for short trips in fully electric mode. Although I can't imagine many people popping down to the shop with their Revuelto in EV mode.
No, the reason that is keep being said is Lambo itself. I don't understand why but to a lot of car enthusiasts, Hybrids (Mild, plug-in, what have you) sit in a different category.... the main complaint seems to be the weight but have you seen a modern supercar? or a Luxury Car? They heavy. The only other thing seems to be the EV'ness of it, to which they are not wrong but at this point, if performance is the focus, that game is lost and has been lost for while now. Still from Lamborghini themselves, this is it.... it's hybrids (at the least) from here on out, and it's nearly ready.
@@StormdriverOne "Although I can't imagine many people popping down to the shop with their Revuelto in EV mode." I would say that it depends on the neighbourhood... in LA, San Fran, the New State cul de sac's, You might.... keeps people from bitching over that snarling V12. Any where else not like that? Don't know.
@@DuvJones hybrid drawback is weight. New cars are heavy, but hybrids are way heavier. Look at AMG C43 vs C63. Huge weight difference that is felt big time in the corners and suspension in spite of huge power. Yes, the manufacturers keep saying that, but they have a knack of going back on what they say all the time. That's my point. Revuelto is the perfect example. Aventador Ultimae was supposed to be the last NA V12 and yet here comes Revuelto with NA V12 still, but with electric. Ferrari Purosangue is V12 even though other Ferraris are hybrid. Once sustainable fuels come along in a big way, why bother getting rid of NA engines. Remember, a large part of the supercar experience is engine power and sound, not EV.
@@dash-ryan "Once sustainable fuels come along in a big way, why bother getting rid of NA engines." Yeah I've head that one before and to be blunt, it's not going to happen outside of special events and motorsport, and selectively at that. The problem is scale and sustainability at scale, you solve that.... and you might have something, so far I have yet to hear any company tackle those issue. To your point, Their is a massive reason to why the world isn't full of NA V12.... fuel consumption. They don't generally operate all cylinders all the time for a reason. That reason is the consumption rate. Simply put, they are thirsty, and by not having all cylinders active it is plenty inefficient (by effectively having dead weight unless you are at the track, at the limit). My guess is that Lambo is sticking to the V12 hybrid to tackle that issue, normally I don't think that they would have gone in that direction but the tightening on the fuel regs don't give them much of option. Euro 7 has been delayed, but it hasn't been stopped... even if it had, sustainable fuels can't fix the fundamental issue of the consumption rate. Hybrid is it for as long at the reg's allow.
It looks badass but it's the same marketing gimmick as a sport Suv Coupe, neither a good sports car nor a good offroader, just a good looking toy for the super rich
Even when rallying isn't something that appeals to me I love this car because it is a master class in showing why numbers don't matter at all. The Huracán with the lowest numbers is the one that delivers the best driving experience. ❤️ The minds of everyone have been poisoned by the internet into thinking better numbers are everything and they couldn't be more wrong.
If someone's isn't coming out with fully body panel kits for these (not just wraps), i can't imagine how drivers are going to take massive value out of their cars from the insane amount of rock strikes that body's gonna take.
at 300k it does sound like a budget supercar... but it doubtful that people will actually offroad it after buying it... its definitely going to be a collectors item
So this is a 'Real World' Lambo...? I am sold, this thing looks good, and it can handle pretty much any road or lack thereof!!! Dare i say? This is the most useable supercar on earth right now... 🎉🎉🎉
Thing is, it would likely be the fastest Lambo in the real world. While the "faster" Lambos are forced to slow to crawl for any bump, hump, or slightly steep driveway.
If only off-road supercars had become a thing before the SUV craze
They tried with their LM002 back in the day 👍

You dont need to take those race seats, thats an option also you can have cupholders too. Btw this car can still be configured at Lamborghini.
