  • Have you ever seen the rituals of the villagers in Japan dedicated to their gods? It is a very colorful, flashy, beautiful, yet very tough Matsuri (festival).
My hometown is a rural Japanese town with very little that is nationally known and no McDonald's or Starbucks. When I was young, I used to wonder why I was born in such a rural town. But my foreign friends made me realize the beauty of this town. The important thing is not the tourist attractions or the famous chain stores, but this vast expanse of rich nature. There is no need to create something new. I thought that everyone should see the wonderfulness of what we have now. I used to think that I had to work hard as a company employee. Instead, I wanted to do what made me feel comfortable. I hope you will be comforted by the beauty of my hometown. I love Japanese culture, not only the language but also the way of thinking and the unique culture of each region. I hope that my way of thinking and living will have a small positive influence on you, too.
