This morning I totally forgot I needed an ornament for a party I was going to, so since I had been following your videos, had already bought some premade "dryer balls." I was able to needle out an ornament for the gift exchange, thanks to your instruction! (Since I live in the desert, mine was different cactuses)
I cannot believe it, I had this idea without any influence and just came to see if there were any poinsettia patterns to inspire me. I had already made my ball. Just goes to show there are no original thoughts just variations on existing ones. You came first. Thanks… The only criticism I have of your video is the background music. if I never hear that tune again I will be happy…😊🤭
Hi! I'm going to make some of these with friends. We plan on making around 10 of these ornaments. How much white wool should I order for the balls? I'm on Heidi Feathers website and she has 100g of white merino wool for around $10. Thank you!
@kristinbogdonas1369 I don’t measure the wool but I would assume you could get between 6 and 8 balls out of 100 grams of wool…10 if you make them smaller. I weighed a finished ball, the size of the one in the video, and it came to 13grams. I should note that I didn’t use merino wool for this project. I used carded batts…it’s a coarser wool. I am personally not a fan of felting with merino. I find it fussy to use and more difficult to work with. Just my personal experience. 😊
thank you

You are the best felting teacher I have found on here. Thank you for your tutorials and your creativity!
Thank you so much for your kind words. ❤️
Well I am completely new to this idea and I can’t understand how they don’t fall apart! I might just love this.
The felting needles have little barbs on the them that knot together the fibres as you are sticking the wool. 😊
