Yes, it was really nice talking to you guys! I'm really happy you are enjoying my videos! I can't wait to see where I go next too! :) I hope you guys get to come back soon and have safe travels.
Congrats on the baby!! The children are our future. 😀 And I'm glad you're enjoying my channel. I've always enjoyed reading your posts on Oakhurst area(fb) and love your photography. I told my wife a while back, "this Daniel Chui seems like a really cool dude." Cheers. 😀
Newborns are a big responsibility and a priority,so you're doing the right thing. I love Yosemite and the Sierra as well and never get tired of visiting. I retired two years ago after a 45 year career. One thing I learned to do during that time was to make my work and other responsibilities first priority, and put Sierra trips in the category of recreation whenever I could fit it in. Pretty soon your infant will be big enough to strap into a carrier on your back and you can introduce him/her to the great outdoors.
Wonderful video! Glad I found your channel. My twin brother and I have hiked the Pohono twice, but downhill from Glacier Point to tunnel view. Wonderful Yosemite hike, and like you said, very few people even in summer. Thanks for bringing back great memories.
Yeah it was sort of surreal being on that hike and seeing a total of four people... then coming back down to tunnel view, and it was just a zoo of people.
The little red flowers looked like strawberries at first, guess the bears would be loving those. I didn't expect you could whittle you own spatula but you are full of surprises, and yes the soft shell will travel better and bring that recipe up to an 8. Your log balance and water crossings may have been easier barefoot but you flew up and down the trails. Outstanding images and upbeat inspiring dialog thru-out, Another great presentation. Hope all is good with you and yours.
Hey buddy!! It's always great to read your comments. Those snow plants are really cool. They actually grow up to about a foot tall. I'm glad you enjoyed the views as much as I did. I actually ended up seeing a bear on the drive out, but I didn't get it on video. Next time!! 😀 I hope you're doing well.
@@theyosemiteguyd Doing well here. Had a bunch of smoke from Canadian wild fires last week but a few days of rain has cleared that up. Hoping the controlled burns keep your park dangers down... this years heavy rain sure helped. You are a great person on the inside regardless of the facial hair and could be a fire fighting detective if it's what you want. Personally I'd say, you may be a better hiking burrito chef.
Hahaha, yes, I think you're right about the hiking burrito part. I'm glad the smoke is getting better in your area. I feel like every summer for the past 8 years, we've had smoke from one fire or another. So, a reprieve would be nice.
Awesome! Just subscribed. Doing the Pohono from Tunnel View to Dewey as an overnighter this weekend. Do you know how close to the actual point you can camp? Trying to wake up to an epic view but don't want to damage anything of course. Also would you say there is running water near the point? Going to pack in about 2.5L per person but it'll be hot so we'll likely need to find a water source around camp. Cheers!
That's awesome!! Dewey point is a great camp spot. And there is camping site right next to dewey point that you should see on your approach to dewey. And for water there is plenty of creeks running if you go past dewey towards bridalveil camp probably a half mile further. I would try and watch the weight of your pack cause it's brutally steep getting up to Stanford point but after that the trail eases up. Have fun and let me know if you have any other questions.
Great adventure and beautiful places 😊🙏👍
Loved the birds chirping 🕊️
Really enjoyed talking to you on the Pohono Matt! Love yout videos, can't wait to see where you hike next! Jeff and Lisa Longfellow

Dewey Point, five tacos, and a mustache, I love it 😊

So glad you enjoyed it!! It's been fun making these. I think I need to do a big hike for my next video. 😀
I’ve hiked this trail. It’s really nice.
Yes!! And less crowded in the summertime. :)
sweet!
It's always nice to see you upload a video 😊 Beautiful views on that hike! Enjoyed watching 👀 😊 Nice that you can escape the crowds on a good hike.

Those tacos 🌮 looked good. I am sure yogi must have been licking his chops when he smelt those babies.👍
😂 thanks, they were! I was worried cause I heard bears love Vienna sausages 😊 I was looking around the whole time I was cooking.
