Hey austin. ld love to see an update of your robusta, must be a bit bigger now since two years and 9 months ago when you uploaded this vid. Would also love to see vids of your yucca rostratas, waggies and trachy''s! Hope you and your plants are well.

Lost 3 of my Robasta here in Austin Tx. I covered them but this latest freeze got down to 7 degrees. Have purchased some replacements already. Thanks for sharing.

    Yes.
Some palms expand when growing while others don't. For W. Robusta, It's just like the trunk on a tree--starts out smooth and then as the tree grows the trunk expands. But because it's hard and stiff instead of soft and flexible it forms cracks kind of like what earthquakes do to the ground when they strike.

Great going dude, hey you're in Arkansas, right ? I just love your accent ! Hey at 2 minutes 13 in this video, there is a rather sad/sick looking palm, looks like a Pinnate (feather) style frond. What variety was that one, & has it recovered since then ? It looks like it already had many feet of trunk height, did you get it as an advanced size plant, or had you had that one for a long time ? Good going. Thanks from Catherine, at 43 Degrees South latitude, New Zealand, near the Pacific Ocean

@InsanePalmNinja There are some people that do grow them that far north. Google the Hardy Palm and Subtropical Board. Lots of folks there can give you tips.
