I bought one a few weeks ago. Hurts my shins, so while shopping for pads today I end up buying a T4 V2 instead of putting pads the MTen4. I only bought the MTen4 planning to paint it yellow so it looks like I'm riding around on Claptrap. On top of all that, I've never ridden EUCs before. I think I'm full of smart choices.
i started on an mten3 and later transitioned to an RS19 Hs. The shin pain is unbearable for the first few days but it goes away after awhile. after switching to the RS, the shin pain came back because i wasn’t used to riding such a hefty wheel. my opinion is that any wheel is better than no wheel, but getting an all-round wheel like a T4 is a good option
Guys! Don't try to hold mten4/3 with your chins! It's not like other EUCs. Try to stand on pedals, like you would do on a gyroscooter, just slightly touching the wheel body with your chins.
For anyone wondering about the top speed, I recommend not going above 40kph/25 mph. I had a cutout on mine at around 47kph/(just over 29mph), this was around a 75% charge, 155ish pound rider (+a few pounds for gear/clothes) but was also going down hill....the wheel CAN go over 40kph, but you're risking a cutout. ALSO worth noting....the warning beeps on this wheel are NOT loud. I didn't hear them at all over the wind noise (which is why I thought I was fine). I recommend setting up alarms with an app as well. I only know the exact speed of my crash because I had an app connected and logging, unfortunately I didn't have alarms on the app set up.
For a quick run around the block or down the street it is awesome fun. Gets lots of looks for sure. 15mph is all you want. Got the extra comfort pads from EUCPiP on Etsy. So much better. You learn quickly not to clamp you shins down on this wheel. Can be painful But so much fun and portability.
@@Blox117 Ha, I had bruised shins to prove you need padding. Just getting on and off is a bit painful in the beginning. Love the wheel, but is nuts to ride. So much fun.
After 5k km on my mten3 I can definitely tell you that if it comes to RIP, I'll buy this one without even thinking about it. I've never tried a bigger wheel but I cannot fathom how something so big, heavy and un-manoeuvrable can be adapted to European city life. It's probably a lot safer to ride a bigger wheel and faster too of course, but never having to step off of it, not while walking with someone, not in your elevator, not at home, not ever, is just priceless.
9:47 BTW to get on or off a small wheel, you don't jump. You pivot your heel 70° on the edge of the pedal while your toes provide the balance on the ground. That's also how you wait at a red light, you never actually dismount a small wheel unless you're about to turn it off.
Great to see you made it back home safely from your visit of Canada 🍁. Great review on the M10-4 but really looking forward for reviews of the EX-30. You think you could make the 75mph threshold? Better armor up like Iron Man for that particular wheel.
I'm really surprised that you refer to this as a toy and think it's mostly for children. In Southern California we're about to have a Mten4 race day with about 30 people from different regions coming to enjoy the fun. I guess some people don't understand the nature of this wheel 🙂 I think it is like EUCs in general. Some people get it and some people don't 🙂
I ride my mten3 which has the trolley handle attached to the front. Adults and teenagers often tell me it's cool, bad, sick, etc. Yesterday, dude in his mid-twenty said, "That's so cool." And a couple days prior, lady in her car instead of finishing her left turn from my right, rolled down her car window to tell me how cool my wheel was while I was balancing at a slow pace to simulate a stop at a four-way intersection. I don't think they'll compliment a toy.
The top plug connecters are provided by eucwayoflife ... get them then a possibility of random cutout wont kill you. The same people also sell pads on etsy...A few hundred bumpy miles will shake the wires out and give you a cutout. It's an easy fix. There pads are a bit more comforable...and they have go pads...no break pads on them. I wear bendable thick elbow pads that harden upon impact on my inner shins for comfort. Fashion speaking think clysdale on the lower legs. Every movement is translated into the wheel because of its unique moment of inertia...making your game on any other wheel dramatically improved. If you can get the padding right one legged riding will be possible. You will feel safe learning more complex forward back transitions, jumps, finding flow, and off road. The featherweight maneuverabity opens the door of mountain trails where most humans do not feel comfortable walking. It is possible to weave through baseball sized rocks and have plenty of pedal clearance and because it's so light a rock can be dodged quickly decimeters apart. To be sexy and safer it's important to learn all angles of knee bend...aka the squat. Bend at the knees more than bending at the waste. Bending at the waste looks good for pole dancers because they are holding the pole with their waist. We assist the with our feet and legs. This is plenty for now. Always wear full gear with this machine is full face helmet, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, and padding for shins. It's a small wheel that needs epic precautions. And as far as fun/dollar ratio...very few things in world compares. ua-cam.com/video/dmoz4ZcTRH8/v-deo.html
Having previously owned unicycles from Inmotion and Leaper Kim, my expectations for quality were not met with the Begode Mten4. The design is just two metal plates with rough edges, posing a safety risk. Furthermore, the transparent cover arrived with unsightly, permanent stains, suggesting poor quality control. Despite the defects, Begode has denied any issues, thus not offering a refund. I urge caution and recommend against purchasing this model due to unreliable quality control and the manufacturer’s inadequate response to product faults.
Do not store in public places, great usefull wheel :D. Make it waterproof with proper mudguard and it is great city wheel for short distances. But like this, meh. As city wheel I preffer my T3 anyway :).
It's the "forbidden to ride the wheel if you are over 60" that drew my attention - I'm 64. The Master has the same statement. Can I expect a knock on the door anytime soon do you think?
Hello, I'm from Spain, excellent video, it shows that you really enjoy your wheels, I have a question, I'm a heavy user of 110 kg and I learned a 14D, the wheel cut me off and shot me, well, normal, it's a lot of weight for the wheel, which is small and I was thinking between the Kingston 16X, the KS 18 L and the 18XL. I think the difference between these two is only the battery, right? The fact that the XL's battery is bigger could prevent me from cutting off when I demand a little more from it, there is also the kidston 18S. Is the Kingston 18S worth the investment? Does this wheel require more maintenance and care? What can you tell me? Thanks in advance and a big hug.

it's a toy - all EUC's are toys with no vehicle DOT grade specifics . they are not vehicles . only the youtubers consider it as vehicles . the finish is also Chinese toy finish . the "manual" bays nothing about how to operate. not instruction on pressure of tube . just some legal "don't do's "
I wouldn't consider something that can take an adult over 25mph to be just a 'kids toy'. I mean, I guess it's a toy in the same nature that things like dirt bikes and ATV's are (which are also not street legal) but not just a 'kids toy' to hand off to your kid to run off and enjoy with no supervision or training.
@@OneWheelMan when i say a toy I am referring to the level of protection and care for the small details, durability and keeping standards , and not to it's technical capabilities it terms of power. @@robertbarel896 Plenty of cars have issues without being old....also, if you crash a car a bunch of times in a year it'll look bad too. And they hold up much longer than a year. I've put a LOT more money putting money into fixing cars from Chevrolet than any wheels...though to be fair, the number of miles on the cars were much higher. Only thing that's ever stopped one of my wheels from going is a flat tire.

You can ride it below 0 degrees, but shouldn't store it at that temperature then ride it when it's been sitting in the cold.

You can make a Killswitch yourself, it should be pretty easy if you have tried soldering before.
Do you know which connections need to be made to disengage the wheel? A kill-switch to the battery is not an option. Unless if that's what you want.
